Primary Target

Jack Edwards, who is technically a "commentator" for the Bruins. Ready to blast the opponent with crazy rhetoric, in the past he has stated that the Panthers should get good so they can be moved to Quebec. Newsflash Jack, this team isn't going anywhere but the playoffs...and you won't be able to see them in Quebec, only in Sunrise.

Red Hot Cat Of The Night

Mikael Samuelsson, who has 6 points in his last 7 games played.

We can win if Theodore is in, I have absolutely zero faith in Clemmer. Trade Clemmer to Alaska for all I care, just get him away from the team.

Looks like Caps will take over the division lead, so we need to bounce back and win here.

Based on GR's tweet, he said 50/50 chance Theo starts, closer to 40% so I'm guessing Clemmer. Probably want to make sure Theo is 100% because he's going to be needed a lot. Can't risk a set back.

I'll be going to this game. I would love a convincing victory. Like 4-1 or something.

If Clemmer starts I dont think I need to even bother watching it. He is terrible and the Bruins will pick him apart..Hopefully Dineen doesnt give him the starts here and then...

I'm glad Goldie and Lindsay can officially no longer call them the first-place Panthers because they have been anything but first place material since mid-november. They have become a less than mediocre team with pretty bad depth. We're one of the worst offensive teams in the league right now. The last outing's effort level was pathetic against the Pens. Injuries are a part of hockey. We're getting healthy now so enough excuses. We have to get W's. I'm glad no one from the top-line has been selected to the all-star game. Teams have been shutting them downing on a pretty consistent basis since last month.

Call it however you want. Caps have more talent. Caps got the lucky bounces. Whatever, they got the job done.

They're above us now and plus they have 3 wins more than us.

We need a big game. Lose this one and on Tuesday if the Pens and Leafs win then we'll find ourselves in 9th place. Win and we're in 3rd.

Just win. I don't care if it's the most boring game ever that ends in a SO 1-0. Just get the 2 points tomorrow night.

Does it really matter that much whether we're in 3rd or 9th at this point of the season?

I don't really care. I just hope they play well, regardless of who's in net.

The standings are rather irrelevant right now. Go to the Caps board and they're barely even mentioning the fact that they took the division lead tonight. They don't care because they're probably used to the winning.

At the end of the day, we're in it and it's come down to a 39-game season.

Right. My concern is our inability to convert scoring chances right now. Sure we've been getting some here and there. Also we haven't seen a full 60 minute effort in a while. Fleischmann's whiff in front of a wide open net against the pens pretty much sums it all up.

This game is huge from a momentum point of view.

All teams go through rough patched through their seasons. Boston did it early this season, so did Washington. **** happens. Looking forward to how the first line bounces back tomorrow. If we win, great, I'm looking for a 60 minute effort against one of the top teams.

This is a very tough stretch, Washington's on an easy stretch, as Erick said, there's 39 games left. I think the current teams in the top 8 will be in come season's end.

I luckily didn't get to watch the game on Friday night. I've been moving into a new place since then nor have had time really to pay attention to what's been going on in the league over the last few days.

I wouldn't say at this point in the season any game is a "Must Win!" but I think it would be very crucial to get back in the groove of the winning side of things starting tomorrow night with the Caps now taking control of 1st in the division. I realize that Toronto in 9th is only one point behind us. Injuries and many days off lately have set us back, but that can change over the next 39 games with a healthy roster and favorable schedule for the most part.

Hopefully the Panthers attitudes after that Pens win are in high spirits with a chance of Theodore starting and Bergy, Samuelsson, and Skille coming back sometime hopefully on the road trip. It's certainly not going to be easy against one of the toughest teams in the league whom have gone 7-3 in their last 10 and have only lost 5 games in regulation on the road.

That worries me more than the standings right now.

We're fine in the standings right now. If we were playing better, people would have a more optimistic perspective about the current standings. Bottom line is, we have to play better. The standings will sort itself out if we take care of business.

I basically just want to see a good effort tomorrow night, win or lose. Not expecting a win since we're playing the best team in the NHL. Perhaps we get a surprise as this team has proven that it can beat any team on any given night.

We haven't been playing well for a month and we're still in the hunt. No need to panic. I really think many of us are not used to being in this position. I'd bet we're going to get steamrolled tonight and I'm still not going to get worried. We'll get this train back on the tracks. A good old fashion ass whooping on home ice might be what could light a fire under this team. Just like that pathetic loss to Ottawa earlier in the season.

I don't care how the Panthers do it, but they have to win tonight. Can't stand losing to the Bruins. I don't care how good the Bs are this year, losses to them are insufferable.

As I said before we are going to jump around between 3rd and 9th for these last 39 games. The competing teams will bear down even harder, with their experience knowing it all really starts after the ASG. then the trade deadline will make the top tier teams stronger and the bottom teams easier to defeat.

It'll be the first time this decade we truly experience this. I hope we doesn't get too high or too low and enjoy the ride.

Tonight it's obviously key that theo will be In, sbut if not we need to give it our best chance before the road trip, where the infusion of our injured will likely mark the true beginning of our second season.

Win or lose, I want to see some effort and heart out there. Crisp passes, hard forecheck, fast backcheck, all the things they were doing earlier that made them successful. These things will make me happy. Another night of sloppy, uninspired play after what happened last game, and it just might be time to worry. Go Panthers!

I'm with catscratchfever - I want to see a solid effort no matter the outcome.

Obviously I want to beat the Bruins, but at the end of the day if they fight to the final horn and lose, I'll at least feel like progress is being made to get out of this slump.

LET'S GO CATS!!
