hmmm
They both can't work at the same time. It's is one or the other.

LA is the new SJ in terms of choking, they can never win it in critical moments.

I don't understand why DS didn't use MR on either PP with Kopi in the third. He and Kopi are the two best PP'ers and aare more effective together. What the hell is MR supposed to do with Stoll and Penner? Really?

And when you have one of the best Penalty Killers in the league in MR , esp on 3 men kiill, you use him, not Stoll.

Nice to get a point and move on to the Canucks, but again, Quick deserved a better fate.

Except they do that in the playoffs, not against a lottery team.

I don't care what choice he is, I don't trust him, I don't trust his defensive skills. He is ok, when he can play physical, but 4 on 3 PP usually isn't place for that. He doesn't bother me even close to Stoll's selection, though.

Is it now 13 out of 14 games with a point? I'll take that.

That is absolutely true.. They could've been there if they haven't lost so many OT games in the playoffs and blow a 4 goal lead in one period.

That's a nifty play by Peckham. The Kings need to learn that one for future overtimes.

Interfere with the other team's guy, then grab the other team's guy's stick and poke yourself in the face with it, so that the other team gets called for a penalty.

3/4 points possible out of this back-to-back is ok by me. I saw the Kings were having trouble getting their legs going even with the good ice in the first 2 periods. After the goal they were pretty working with adrenaline. Bad call in OT but the Kings had a chance to win it even before any of that happens.

Slightly OT- If Mike Richards didn't miss 9 games with that injury, tonight would have been his 500TH NHL game

If he stays healthy, that comes Feb 9 at Florida, which is 1 game before his birthday (Feb 11)

Noted that MR's ice time is down over the past few games and he doesn't play on the first power play unit, rather the 2nd unit with Stoll and Penner. Not sure what Sutter wants Richards' role to be but it obviously doesn't include much in the way of offence. I'd be playing him with Brown and Kopitar on forward or, if Sutter wants Williams out there, trying Richards on the point during PPs'. Obviously you'd need to break up Doughty and Johnson on the first unit point positions but given the way the PP is going, why not try it?

the referee was in perfect position to see it yet he only calls the high stick.

Sutter said that Richards is struggling so he looks to slightly lower his TOI.

Since the Arrival of Darryl Sutter the Kings have ONLY ONE LOSS in Regulation ...

... shame it was to the 30th place team in the NHL

But I agree ... if the Kings can keep gaining points anyway they can and we'll be OK ... but I hate to read this Board IF we actually LOSE 2 IN A ROW ever again it'll be trade him, fire this guy, Sell the Team ... blah blah blah
