I saw that! I'm just gonna complain about the misspelling of Elliott's last name. Otherwise I thought it was a cool segment, esp in the middle of an east coast vs east coast game. Sweet!

It's about time people talk about the blues.

The numbers are middle of the pack offensively... no one person is carrying the team fully like other teams who have super stars. I can only hope that is what he was referring to.

It is cool that the Blues got some love.

I think that we are middle of the pack when it comes to All-Star talent, but we are not middle of the pack when it comes to depth. I think that it is the Blues' ability to roll 4 quality lines that is the reason why they are doing so well.

Right! he should have elaborated on that instead of making it his final word.

He didn't say mid-pack offensively, he said mid-pack talent in the west. I disagree wholeheartedly.

Who cares what Jones said. Half the time I hear him talk I just shake my head. The guy just repeats common parlance. Is not exactly a thinker.

Not a big fan of JR (not our JR), but at least he speaks his mind. The times that Jones actually speaks his mind, I keep thinking he is mentally soft and has an unsubstantiated favoritism. JR at least provides some rationale for his opinions.

Yeah. I agree. JR makes some really boneheaded assumptions sometimes though. I can't think of a television analyst I like.

I actually like Jones overall. If he was referring to the offense, then he was dead on.

I can't stand JR at all.

The only thing I appreciate about Roenick is that he's willing to call guys out on air and not patronize other broadcasters. He might not be the sharpest analyst and still lets too much of his personal experience dictate his opinion on other teams decisions and behavior, but at least he doesn't just sit there and let someone blatantly go on a tangent that makes no sense to him.

I kind of enjoy Roenick as an analyst. I don't always agree with him, but I know I'm getting his true opinion and not some fabricated position calculated to generate TV interest. He's not shy about saying stuff.

Exactly, id rather a guy say whatever he thinks then listen to a guy who is saying what he thinks people want to hear, regardless if i agree with them or not

Jones is okay. But, I really like Kevin Weekes. He knows his game, and knows how to make his points and convey information and isn't a "ham".

I think I've seen him do a couple of segments on "on the fly." I'll keep an eye out for him. Haven't seen much of him though.

Of course I like Chaser when he's on, but only because we're both homers. He doesn't count.

Don Cherry knows his hockey. I just don't like listening to him because he goes off-topic a lot and harps on points too much. He works too hard to keep up his image, rather than just reporting or commenting on a subject.

My favorite moment with Don Cherry was years back when he went on a tangent about the talent in Toronto. Don was really irritated and was basically saying ship out the whole team and bring up Bates Battaglia. It was really funny and somewhat true, they has some total under acheivers and Bates was tearing it up in the minors it was a great segment and I liked how Cherry brought light to Battaglia who needed the spotlight, he had been tearing it up. Really who doesen't like Bates Battaglia anyway?
