What?! did you see the game Niemi has last night?! Just awful -

time to rest that guy and have him work on re-bound control and shots from the point!

He was 12-10, with a GAA of 2.71 and a save percentage of .896. Any team with that as their 'best' goalie is in trouble.

Wouldn't Nitty have to clear waivers to rejoin the team?

He already is on the team, just sitting in the press box.

You speak as if goalies never have an off game? It happens. If anything, he needs to get back out there.

Seto's plan all along. Took the fall by missing the team meeting to screw over the Sharks...

lets just say Neimi gets injured or is in a funk come playoff time, I would personally feel much more comfortable with Nitty starting vs Greiss. That said Greiss has alot more trade value then Nitty right now, he has potential to be a 1b goalies next year on a great cap hit, Greiss and Wingels/Ferrerio would fetch a pretty decent return. If Nitty bolts end of the season it's not very hard to find a backup or maybe even give one of the kids a shot.

Not really.

I prefer to have Greiss start. Niitty is too much of a risk because of injuries.

If Nitty bolts at the end of the season, its time to celebrate. Hes 100% gone after this season. The Sharks wont re-sign him and he probably wouldnt want to re-sign either so Greiss is here to stay.

So let me get this straight, and sorry if I missed it earlier in the thread but, Nitty is completely healthy and sitting in the press box at the moment?

Because that would go against everything HC Koala stands for. He's gonna ride Niemi till Niemi can't play anymore.

He does need to work on rebound control and shots from the point among other things I'm sure but he's right. Nemo needs to play lots of games in a row to get better. That's how lots of goalies are, they need to play games consistently and not take a break to improve. Once you give him a game off it'll throw him off his groove. Last night was just a bad game for Nemo, nothing more. He'll be fine within the next couple of games. Besides our D wasn't exactly sharp last night either, so don't put it all on Nemo.

I would do a Nitty/Braun package for a bonafide 3rd line winger in a heartbeat. Both are solid players that we just dont really need at the moment which makes them good trade fodder.

I prefer to keep Braun/Demers. I see them, burns and Vlasic as teh future of the Sharks defense, and I'm pretty happy with that group.

Going off of the pure fact that you have to give to get, I would trade Braun.

From my point of view, getting a 3rd liner to take Mitchell's spot as 3rd line RW would be far more valuable to this teams Stanley Cup aspirations then keeping Braun on the 3rd pairing. Re-sign White and move Braun!
