Although this would be similar to a set of trades in 2007. Martin Biron was an impending UFA and Ryan Miller had cemented himself as Buffalo's #1. They managed to trade Biron to Philadelphia for a high 2nd rounder. Buffalo then traded their own late first rounder to rent Dainius Zubrus. So in their eyes, they traded their backup goalie for forward depth.

Maybe Harding for a pick and then Minnesota re-spins the pick for a P.A. Parenteau or Jason Blake?
I could see Minnesota trading Harding for a pick or solid prospect, but I dont think they can afford Blake. Dont know if Isles would trade PAP at this point.

But Moore deserves justice because his career was destroyed.
Isn't that what the NHLPA is for?

I have to give him credit because he answers questions, but he does it in a way like I know everything and I'm smarter and better than you.
In the offseason I asked him who would stand in front of the goalie on the powerplay to block his view, since Handzus and Smyth were both gone.

His reply was so smug and didn't even answer the question. It was like "When you have Gagne and Richards on your team you don't worry about blocking the goalie's view." Yeah obviously that has been an incredible powerplay unit this season.

Bernstein is an ass.

Thank you. Smug was the word I was looking for. Yes, that guy is an ass.

The fact that Yzerman would choose Roloson over Smith is baffling to me.

Even if Roloson is or was the better goalie last year....i'd rather roll the dice on 29 year old Mike Smith on figuring things out rather then keeping 42 year old Dwayne Roloson for another year and having Garon as his back up....

I think there are going to be a lot more trades made at this deadline than in previous years. So many teams are not living up to expectations at this time, and it's only a matter of time before there's a flurry of trades. Look at Buffalo.

Dallas is hanging in with the Blues tonight without Benn and Ribeiro. The Stars have heart.

Is anyone really surprised they are getting lit up right now? Miller hasn't been good the past 2 seasons. The team played well for about a month. They get a couple injuries and completely fall apart. I just wish we didn't play them when they were playing well.

I don't find Howard to be that good, and I'm curious how he would play on the Kings with no goal support and spending most of the game scrambling around in the net.

That's all we need. Hopefully STL will get a late period goal.

Just glad one of those teams (Dallas/St. Louis) got zero points tonight. That helps.

wow. A lot of games tonight!

Kings really need this win. They have to go on one of those 7-1 streaks or something like that.

This 7-6 records isn't going to cut it anymore.

I don't get the hate on the proposed 2013 Winter Classic. They are including two of the most popular, if not the most popular franchises in the League. They are going to the largest venue in the country where they sold out an outdoor college game. What do you expect them to do Columbus vs Minnesota? They are using the same teams because they are the teams that will get the most viewership and are teams that are in area where having an outdoor game is possible.

To anyone who says the event is "old" or "played out" already. Try going to one and you'll have a different opinion. I went to the first one in Buffalo and it was easily the best sporting event I've ever attended. It was like Woodstock or Lolapalooza for hockey fans. I'll be doing my best to be in Ann Arbor for this game if that is in fact the plan for next year.

Kadri and Schenn scratched for the Leafs tonight. Could be a trade, could be Wilson shaking things up. Could see a trade with the Ducks though for Ryan maybe. Leafs would prob have to add though.

If you're getting 19 of a possible 26 points it's just fine.
