question why does the majority of people rather pursue a rap career and like rap music??? too lazy to learn how to play an instrument???? rap music is the worst kind of music yet so freaking popular....its a shame that people rather take beats off of a computer than play a freaking instrument..

Not to derail or whatever, but there are a lot of talented creative electronic artists who have more musical training in stuff like piano, guitar, or orchestral instruments than a lot of people who "play a freaking instrument."
You can have good and bad music in any genre, generic made for mass consumption garbage plagues everything. There is talent out there in everything, it's just not as popular because it's not shoved down our throats every single day.

I guess that depends on whether you consider what Nickelback does to be playing guitar. Honestly, it's not really about rap versus other genres, it's about mass produced crap versus actual music.
