Thats nice.

Defending him based on regular season stats is missing the point completely.

It's the offense in the playoffs I'm more concerned about.

Goaltending is absolutely no concern of ours; have way more pressing problems.

We've won way too many games already this year because of our goaltending. I don't think anyone can dispute that. It's nice to have goalies who can win you games but we're relying on it too much.

They can't dispute it, but they can pretend it never happened. Remember the 07 playoffs where Luongo played absolutely unreal? He was the reason we made the playoffs in the first place, he was the reason we didn't get swept by Dallas, and he was the reason we took a game off of the cup winners. We got shut out THREE TIMES vs Dallas. And we still WON the series. Even Cherry called it the best goaltending performance he'd ever seen.

Of course, people have no problem pretending that didn't happen now. It's all about the singular bad goal he had against Anaheim. People talk about his "meltdown" or how he "choked" in the 07 playoffs. It's funny, it's sad, it is a lot of things. I don't even know what to say about it.
