Anisimov played on the Rangers last year.

Zherdev did play with Shelley last year though.

Gets my seal of approval. Wolski shouldn't see the ice for (hopefully) a long time. He had a horrible game and was directly (or close to being) responsible for 2 of the goals. You'd think that a guy that hasn't played in months and was fighting to get back into the lineup would have a fire under his ass. Guess not.

he has really struggled lately so my guess is that torts either thinks he's tired or, more likely, thinks he needs a wake up call and this 'demotion' is intended as a kick in the rear to get him going again

Anisimov hasn't registered a point in 11 consecutive games. Dubinsky got moved down to the 4th line earlier this year, and he was putting up assists at least, so this demotion was a long time coming for Anisimov.

Boyle, contrary to popular belief, has been playing well lately even though he struggles to finish. He's certainly outplayed Anisimov.

Not sure why everyone gets hung up on the line "numbers". Torts just goes with his gut as soons as the puck drops anyway.

I'm concerned about the Rangers' scoring depth holding up with these lines. The powerplay sucks hard already, just a little dip in scoring and losses will be more frequent.

I like Wolski, but Torts hates him, so that's that, get someone else in here to help out the O! I'm sure WW will be happy to never see Tortorella again.

Vinny was a great fit. Why they did not buy out WW and sign Prospal is beyond me, at least if they planned on treating Wolski like he's Sean Avery.

i'm obviously in the minority, but i think wolski should get more of a shot. his upside is good. see if he can't get things going. i'd like to see him have a ten or twelve game audition. if, after that, he's still brutal, he can be dropped.

No kidding. I mean Tortorella may say he is impartial, but we have definitely seen certain guys getting more of a chance than others...
I mean Dubinsky's game was in the toilet for 1/2 the season and he never saw the bench once. Wolski has dealt with a season of injury after prepping hard in the offseason and has been the first to ride the bench. Zucc was sent down after 3 games. Whether they are the best decisions for the team are not, it is hard not to question whether it has anything to do with certain players he doesn't like...

I'm not saying Wolski or Zucc is the answer to making us score more, but I think 2-3 games is not enough time to write someone off completely...

I'd personally be icing like this:

Wolski-Richards-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Anisimov-Callahan
Hagelin - Mitchell - Zuccarello
Prust - Boyle - Rupp

I don't think we need Fedotenko to be honest...He occasionally will chip in for a point, but he is really replaceable. I do believe we need more scoring and I think Zucc & Wolski getting a legitimate shot would provide it...

Don't have a problem trying to replace Fedotenko, he can be useful, but he's getting a little old and slow.

Sorry, Wolski has had many chances and will never live up to his talent, he can score some goals if he played for a bad t eam but he's a big liability for a team relying on great team defense.

Theywill be much better with Dubinsky back unless he's really hurting.

Anisimov needs to use his considerable talent. He 's a big kid who can skate and has good hands, but he's overthinking the game. Just go and let 'er rip. He just does everything at an AHL speed, he can play at NHL level if he were a little more instinctive.

PP is killing us - can we decline penalties?

That 4th line is an abomination.

We need to make a trade to make a 3rd line, or 4th line if Torts is set on making Boyle and Prust 3rd liners.

Great. Now I'm wondering why they are carrying this game instead of the Montreal game. I'm sure there is a good explanation, but it doesn't make sense to not have a Habs game on TV in this area.

So those three guys in the lineup. No Stepan. No Fedotenko. I'm sorry, but that doesn't make sense at all.
