I think PK is a potential superstar and would consider trading him only if he was part of a deal for a Bobby Ryan AND there was an excellent chance of signing Ryan Suter.

I don't believe either is likely, and the chance for both is astronomically insignificant.

I would love for PK to be in the bleu, blanc et rouge for his whole career. Even on an average day for him, he is exciting to watch.

Didn't Tremblay also say that he had it under good authority that Crosby was retiring last year?

Marinaro and Tremblay are not the best sources out there.

He should be on the table if it can net a return like St. Louis got for Johnson.

If someone offered me Shattenkirk and Stewart for Subban, I'd personally drive him to the airport myself.

If a trade happens I don't want pieces. I want a premier young player like Huberdeau. Anything else and we lose.

Some of you guys scoff, as if P.K is some untouchable. If the price is right, you trade him, without question.

Obviously, but from the sounds of it Gauthier is not just passively sitting back but actively offering P.K. to teams around the league.

Because there is absolutely no way we'd get fair value for him.

If there is some difficulty agreeing on a long term deal, put it off, sign a 1 year contract.

PG is trying to make the playoffs, and save his job...not sure if Subban being traded is the way to go though...unless...there is something to the NJ/Winnipeg thread...?

I wouldn't trade Subban for Huberdeau. Subban has higher upside for a d-man plus Huberdeau has not proven anything at the pro level, Subban had a strong 40 games from last year plus pretty good playoffs against the eventual cup winner.

If this team loses Subban, it will lose its identity.

My point is that I don't want us to get a second liner and two second round picks, I want another premier player, or one who could realistically become one. I wouldn't trade Subban for that kind of package any more than I'd trade Crosby for twenty twenty point players.

Well, I for one would not trust these sources. It's almost scary to think about Gauthier making a Subban trade. But with the way the year has gone...

Because he represents a bright spot in terms of the future of this club? He'll get his pay... But lets not forget it's twice this week we heard that a star player has asked for the high money. We'll see what comes out of it... But I suspect that talk is high due to the talk that's gone on this past week, about Price, and now Subban. Price has come out and said the 7 mill per was bull... I'd imagine that this is too. Time will tell I guess...

No, what Mario said was "carrière compromise?" in which he meant that former undisclosed commotions in junior league may mean that Sidney's career could be in jeopardy. Can you say today that he was wrong to say that?

Trading Subban would be dumb. But with PG, we are not protected against that I'm afraid.

...Whut?

I mean... It's obviously a deal I'd do at the end of the season only, but if you have a chance to :

+ Get Huberdeau for Subban
+ Draft Jacob Trouba (realistically, 3rd or 4th at next draft)

Then you do it, no questions asked. You just get the better D-Men and the better forward in the deal.

Maybe he's shopping him because he was given an offer and he's trying to one-up that offer someplace else?

As far as my mind goes, if you make someone untouchable, you're an absolute idiot. It's that simple. No player should ever be untouchable.

There should be a line for every player. Price is as close to an untouchable as we have, but if Edmonton calls me up and offers Eberle, Dubnyk, and Gagner .. I'm driving Price to the airport myself.

Love how everyone was ready to throw PG under the bus for an unconfirmed rumor and without knowing the type of return.
