Too bad that a national audience will likely see a loss because it just seems like we can't put it together when Lindback plays. Also I'm always afraid he will be rusty, but I guess that's my problem not his.

Tortorella:
Quote:
“This team is a clone of us,” he said. “They’re a hard-working, structured hockey club. Their goaltending is very, very good. Their power play is very, very good. They’re a good hockey team, and they’re playing at a pretty good clip right now, too.”
Apparently it's rare for Torts to compliment an opposing team before a game. Lots of mutual respect among Trotz and Torts.

I'm officially sick of NBC sports guys using the word "surprising" when describing the Preds.

Milbury should pay more attention to the NHL and spend less time ranting at 12 year olds. Our offense is "pop gun like" with five fewer 5on5 goals than the Rangers ... the Rangers are the team ahead of us in goals per game at 2.79 to 2.71 ... a win tonight at that gap closes even more.

Then they praise the balanced scoring.

Of course NBC only knows about a few teams ... Philly, Rangers, Caps, Pens, Wings, Hawks, Bruins. A little more research and they might learn there is a Pacific division.

No, it is one large bowl like you mentioned. It has horrible sight lines (I'm a season ticket holder in the last row, lol) which is why they are in the process of a 3-year renovation. By 2013, it will have separate levels like most modern arenas.

Have you checked out the western standings at all? Or even the central divisions standings? It's a tight race and we need every point we can get........

But out of all the games you choose to consider a must win it's the game against an Eastern Conference opponent in first place in the league?

No game is a "must win" yet. This is a two point game ... if we lose we don't gain any points, but the team we lose to is in the other conference so no gain against us in the standings.

Where things are going to shake out is in the divisional play. We need to hold our own against the Blues, Hawks, and Wings.

Refs took way too long to blow the whistle there.
