one things for sure, verizon isnt gonna keep filling if this ******* product is what the fans are to expect over and over. we used to see more scoring chances in a shift than this sorry team can muster shots in an entire period (again, against one of the very worst teams in hockey). yikes.
It's interesting that people are turning against Hunter in the midst of the winning. I would've expected it to come in the 9 games after this when they actually have to play some decent teams and play some road games for a change.
maybe they should switch with a couple caps players. the players could probably ref as badly, while theres no chance the refs could be any worse than the caps at playing hockey.
hey, whats ed hochuli doing? he could be the 1st line power forward better than anyone the caps have, too.

Turning on him is pretty strong. More like mocking our own ineptitude.
Mojo is good and getting better. But he's not ready to be counted on. With Backstrom out, what're gonna do? Beyond Mojo, the 3C and 4C positions are straight up a weakness on this team. Laich almost always loses important face-offs. Halpern tried but just isn't good enough to play above the 4C.
It's painful to watch the guys trying to get the puck up the ice without Green and Backstrom to carry it.
Lots of wasted cap space this year (Schultz, Laich, Knuble) that ought to be paying that one good player.
Getting outshot again. I wanna know how many games under hunter where we actually outshot an opponent
6 of 21 under Hunter. They've been outshot by just over five per game under Hunter on average. With Backstrom: outshot by 2.875...without Backstrom: 12.4. That last figure is even with a recent favorable home schedule. Brutal.
