It's entirely possible Gauthier flew to Jersey first and then headed to New York. It's a short train ride away...

If someone could just put Pierre Gauthier into this picture, that'd be great

Hotels are cheaper in NJ. Wants to look good by saving his boss a few bucks

Well... I don't want to be a pooper but since he was in NJ today, he probably figured that he'd stick around and checkout the Rangers game.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but Newark is, literally, 15-20 minutes from NYC...

Habs pinching pennies. Sent PG to Newark. If PG was working for the Gov he'd have takin a chopper...repel down to his seat.

I think before long the Mods will have to merge all the Gauthier sightings in one giant "Tracking Gauthier" thread.

Getting rid of Cammy's contract has me excited for this off-season.

Weber, Suter and Parise would all be amazing acquisitions for this team.

To a lesser extent: Ruutu, Doan

I see this as more of a 'should I sign xxx' type of tour on Gauthier's part rather than any indication of a trade.

I think you guys are missing the obvious: he's an avid fan of Sergei Kostitsyn and since he was in the area didn't wanna pass up the opportunity of seeing him live - especially now that Martin isn't around anymore.

Subban + Kostitsyn + 1st pick vs Weber?

Would it be enough? Probably not?!
