Agreed.

I'm not a huge fan of L'Antichambre but it's interesting to watch tonight's show.

Nothing crazy interesting, but it was still pretty nice. 4 men who all had a job with intense pressure.

Carbo talking about how twitter has effected coaching to the degree that how players find out things before you even have the time to talk to them about it.
Martin says it never happened to him because he tried to tell his players in the morning. Once again proving Carbo is a terrible communicator.

Francois Gagnon saying that the media has the ability to put intense pressure on a player and coach. Not necessarily the ability to fire them.

you blame carbo for losing the room, and then you blow up the team.
if carbo was the problem then why blow up the team?

LOL @ the question if Martin liked to do the after-game interview or not. Loved his answer!

I just feel that Carbo proved he really wasn't ready to be a coach.
I do have a new respect for Martin.

Says he didn't mind the press conferences. Gagnon said of-course he did, he enver said anything... Martin says He always got the same questions.

Between Martin, Therrien and Carbo.. Martin will get a coaching job way before those 2.

JM said: Media delivers a message, and they have diferent ways of approaching it; if you're (the coach) doesn't blame the players publicly, you will take the blame"

He gave that as an example, though seems he took a shot at the players.

Also made comment that Journalists have duty to come up with better questions.

The difference between Martin and the rest is that Martin never cracked and that's pretty huge for a coach of the Montreal Canadiens in hard nuclear winter days.

Only interesting Martin said so far.....coaches would be more interesting in their press conferences if journalists would have better questions.

Aside from that and what did he try to say about Cole again? Did he just scored on his own net? And you have to love how Gagnon was trying to come to Martin's defense to then come to the conclusion that since Cunneyworth is in, no too many men were called....again, scoring on his own net.

When asked about Cole early in season, and he said "look at his stats, 3ppg last season" and then went on to say Cole made it happen.

Good insight, of times were media can be used for player's motivation.

He actually said so during the first part of the interview. When Gainey offered him the job, Carbo's first reaction was to say "I'm not ready. You be head coach for the rest of the season, and I'll be your assistant."

It's a bit too "country club" for a TV show, but there have been a few gems. (Martin saying "Don't watch L'Antichambre!" was the best )

From his interview on TVA Sports:

Price didn't play up to par this year but he remains a good goalie.
Subban has a lot of maturity and experience to gain
PowerPlay was a problem
Cammalleri didn't agree with the way they were playing, they had many good discussions

Sorry, but he was not getting his message through. He was not using him at all. How do you get a guy going if you don't use him? He decided to try him again after the question has been asked and look stupid for not trying him before. Oh and great jokes about Kaberle and Campoli being the Bergeron and the Wizniewski saviours of the year...

i think he meant that Cole started producing in GENERAL, not just on the PP after that comment.

but yea, Martin played him because some nobody with a mic asked him a question, and Martin is type to get affected by those things.
Got you.

I hope he's affected by not having a job right now aside from that big salary. I hope he is affected by the lack of success he had as a DG in Florida. I guess not either. Hey, he's a professionnal. He knows everything and doesn't need anybody's advice. I wonder why he has assistant coaches.

That great concept of those guys are professionnals and know everything is just really funny.
