Good Ontario Team vs. Not Nearly as Good Ontario Team | Jan 17

Continue your discussion about the game here.

Senators score a goal in every period.
Still relied on only showing up in the 3rd to win the game.

9MM-Turret-Alfie <- is really good
Spezza needs better wingers.

Carkner isn't a very good hockey player.
Phillips has regressed hard.

Senators have played way more games than anyone else and it's showing. All-Star break can't come soon enough.

Senators aren't angry. Other teams are mad.

It sucked hard watching our team last year miss the playoffs, and the Leafs haven't made the playoffs since the lockout - 7 years without playoffs, the true guys that bleed Blue & White must be hurting right now, like really ****in' pissed at the world.

But wow, the Leafs have no heart, but worse they have no goaltending and a shyte coach and a goof-off GM, their team is a mess.

I think the Phillips criticism is a little unwarranted. It's pretty hard to look good next to Carkner.

The Carkner/Phillips pairing with the puck in their own zone is cringeworthy.

The team in general just look gassed.

I'm glad they locked it down with some smart play, because they weren't going to score another.

They just look tired, and they probably are. Lets hope that Cali + extra callups will help

No TMM penalty... build on it. Now, if they can start playing with their third period efficiency in the first 10 minutes....

Sens should get a good rest before the playoffs seeing how they lead the league in games played

I was shocked no one on the Leafs went after Foligno when he hit their captain. You'd think someone would go at Foligno. I thought Burke was building a tough truculent team? Looked more like Buffalo to me.

Not gonna lie, I enjoyed reading through the Leafs GDT, all that hope and optimism took a sudden turn to bitter tears and rage

That said, the Sens would've been toast tonight without Anderson. Good on ya Craig We're finally getting some goaltending we haven't seen since the days of Hasek and 07 Emery.

Also, I'm of the opinion that there was no interference on the Spezza goal, despite how much Leafs fans wanna cry about it, he was outside of the crease(barely) and it's not his fault Reimer was sticking his head up his ass.

Another thing, like Spezza, Turris has an absolute rocket of a wrister, he needs to use it more.

I wonder how it feels to watch your favourite team playing to their maximum capability and then they still go on to lose the game (against a team thats in cruising mode).

Seriously the leafs look like a team built on the concept of throwing **** on the wall and seeing what sticks. Why didnt they build through the draft? O well, not my problem cant wait to see them ship out kadri and schenn for another fundamentally flawed player and then give that player a letter.

I'm not sure what is better, the Sens winning or the Leafs losing. The best possible outcome of the Leafs losing and the Sens winning happened tonight in the same game so I am quite alright.

Not sure how to feel about us having so many more games played than others. I am enjoying having a game at least every other night to watch but you can tell that they are getting tired. Having other teams honing in on us with 3+ games on hand is scary but we seem to just keep winning.

Keep the streak alive Leafs.

Hope they get some rest before the West Coast trip. Sens looked lethargic and slow. At times in the third I wondered if Phillips had forgotten to sharpen his skates. Karlsson showed the defence of a true #1. Hope Anderson channels this game for the rest of the season. It's nice to out-truculent the truculent.

We've only been getting ****ed hard by refs for a couple years. God forbid we get a break or two.

Bottom line is on Tuesday, January 17th, Ottawa picked up 2 points, Toronto picked up none.

Karlsson hasn't scored for two games. I is sad.

Rather have the points than the games. Teams below us are unlikely to win all of them in hand.

6 games in 9 nights is a tough schedule though.
