Let's make sure to make this thread like all other Edmonton proposal threads. A complete gong show.

do not make the mistake of assuming hemsky is better because of age because their is no guarntee detroit would resign him, and thus its merely a 2 week to 2 month deal only

A lot of people don't seem to like Tambellini around here, but he isn't completely brainless.

And don't make the mistake assuming that because a guy started slow because of injury that is value is nothing. Your team is obviously still watching him and as of late he has 7 points in 7 games and is playing darn good. Hemsky will get close to the same as other high profile trade deadline players.

never once did i say that, i merely said detroit wouldnt give up one of its top 4 or 5 prospects for a 2 month(at most) rental

will hemsky get a 1st and mid level prospect yes, will he get any teams top prospect, not a chance in hell

Tambo has made some pretty decent trades and signings. What DET fans are willing to give up for Hemsky they just won't get. I am fine with that. Hey lets keep our top 5 prospects and we will give scrap out for a top 6 player, doesn't work like that.

Hemsky has proven that he is healthy also. He has 6 points in his last 6 games also.

And if he has a good next month, his value will go up. It's just not there right now.

No way Smith is moved for Hemsky. Kindl would have a much better chance of happening

Well every oilers fan either mentioning a 1st or Smith seem to think Holland is brainless.

lets see what Hemsky fetches ... If Tambo gets less then a late 1st then he would not be employed for much longer.
Hemsky is a game breaker.. EDM trades Andy frigging Sutton if they want a late 2nd or 3rd round picks.

Great, he might get a first for Hemsky but it won't be from Detroit. The wings haven't moved a 1st round pick since the lockout and the last time they did it was for Robert Lang when he was a 30 goal scorer.

We traded out of the first round last year.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...the first rounder (likely to be at best 20th overall) doesn't hold near as much value as people think. It's the quality of prospect that will be the monkey wrench. The Pyetts and Kindls of the world I doubt get it done. That said Tambellini would be an idiot to trade hemsky until he absolutely has to, considering his value is at an all time low. Resign hemsky at 1 yr, 4ish mil, and hope to hell he has a good year next year

I would be pretty happy with a 1st and Kindl for Hemsky. I actually think it is more than fair

I like Kindl too....I just doubt Tamby makes that trade. I would do it.

I am sure you would be, that is serious overpayment.

I get that, but let's not act like that 1st is sacrosanct. Push comes to shove, I would trade the 1st straight up for Hemsky. I think 2nd and mid-level prospect, like Andersson or Emmerton, is more like it, though.

I don't think it is overpayment at all it might be a slight under payment.

Kaberle got a good return last year and Penner got a real good return

I remember people saying Penner and Kaberle were worth at best a 4th round pick on these boards

Holland has shown he won't make a deal just for the hell of it. If he trades for Hemsky I doubt it will be for anybody the Wings plan on using in the next couple years. He would ship some picks out, but I doubt our top prospects get moved. Maybe Kindl straight up?
