Is Markov the same Markov after missing almost 2+ seasons with sparse playing time in between 3 serious injuries and countless surgeries? I don't know.

Count me in that camp that wanted Spacek, Hamrlik and Gill gone.

We needed a complete overhaul.

Subban, Gorges, Emelin and yes Markov should have been signed and two rugged DMen added. Shane O'Brien was available. But........we have Diaz, KAberle, Weber, Campoli etc.

So many missed opportunies on D and O this offseason by Gauthier.

yeah at this point, just beat the leafs and I'll be content with a tank. If we make it fine, but at least don't make stupid moves.

Martin's system is something I never really had a problem with.

Martin's weird ass Carbonneau esque decisions are what I had a problem with. And his benching of young players.

I can't take the losing anymore. Why oh why did we fire Martin. He was the best coach we've had in 20 years.

I don't think even a 50 goal star player would help that much. One player can't win it all.

I really never got the hate for Hamrlik. Yes he's a shell of himself, yes he takes penalties, he's not great at anything anymore but he can still do a little bit of everything. Yet everyone wanted Gill more. Gill is a better penalty killer than anything Hammer can do anymore, but Gill is useless at every other part of the game. If you had someone like Hammer to play with Emelin or Diaz instead of another young player or a career spare part like Campoli, you would notice a big difference.

Not saying Hammer would have saved our season, but if Gauthier deserves to lose his job for everything, it's gambling on Markov without bringing back the guy that kept us alive without Markov.
