See, not that hard to follow.
You dolt. Look up what reasonable means. It means sound, logical, and so on.

Gauthier's moves, except maybe Kaberle, were all and have been all reasonable. Trading for Wiz, not resigning Hamrlik for 2 years, signing Budaj etc. All reasonable.

The on-ice success has not been excellent, and believe me, we ALL want an excellent team - Gauthier included. He's making moves THAT MAKE SENSE. That's really the only discerning quality between a good GM and bad GM.

I'm tired of changing management after one bad season. That's a sign of a bad team. Montreal is not a bad team, this season excluded.

i know
firing the coach and bringing a new one doesn't always mean anything
you are still getting the same team from before

Such high standards for what is required to be a GM: he is around nhl players 24/7.

The sign of a bad team is constant reactive trades. That's what we've seen from this club. If you want a good team, we'll probably need different management or at the very least a different strategy.

Stop defending the mediocrity man.

Gauthier ultimately failed us as a GM and we need to rethink our strategy. I don't want to tank so we'll have to change the mentality. We can build a great team with what we have, in fact, I am pretty sure that this exact same team under a open minded offensive strategy would fare better.
i never understood why he was never a intern
i remenber the day he was hired and i was like where's the interin tag?

In the real world. It was really amusing to watch Galley on the CBC say how he didn't think Kaberle ever had a shootout attempt just when the stats were on the screen -- 5-for-12, at the time the best success rate of anyone wearing a Habs jersey.

Better then Gauthier, at least McGuire know's something. Gauthier was Gainey's puppet, and still is

I truly thing the strategy is changing and I like how he's drafted.

Trust me, I don't have a crush on the guy's face or anything.

So now it's not Gauthier making the moves...but Gainey...so the stupid one here is Gainey?

Where do you people come up with these theories?

First of all I'm not even talking about Gauthier since we were discussing his replacement. McGuire is a complete unknown and the fact that he "knows prospects" and is "around nhl players 24/7" isn't enough justification to be a GM. You can apply this to 90% of the people in hockey. Talk about aiming high especially when the guy hasn't been in the league for like 15 years now even after trying multiple times to get a job.

You don't want to be a mickey mouse org? Don't hire McGuire.

Do you have anger issues?

I highlighted the "and so on" part of your quote because the "and so on" part that you left out of the definition is "MODERATE" and "FAIR"..........which is my point. Those transactions by Gauthier have just been fair and middle of the road........which is not excellent.........which is why this team is performing like it is.

I give you credit for using the word dolt though. Havent heard that word in a long time.

Just got back from the game... Whole team seemed dead tonight. Only small bright light was Subban with some of his rushes. Other than him, I can't really say anyone else had a strong game really.

All our forwards seem to be lazy as hell and rarely hustle back to help the defense... If I was Randy, I'd be *****ing the hell out of them every intermission. Terrible effort.

Yup. And I'm not a Gauthier fan.

Mike Milbury is around NHL players 24/7 and has far more GM experience than McGuire. Would you want Milbury as GM?

TV Entertainment and Hockey Operations are two completely different occupations. McGuire's job is more in line with a weather man.
