Does Flyers' lack of response to Steve Staios hit bother you?

Looked to me like all but one player was looking right at the hit. You had Couterier, Read, Timonen and Coburn on the ice. The only guy on the ice that would have done anything is Coburn but like others have said he had the wits about him to realize the team would need him with 4 mins left in the game.

Then you can see Giroux skate in front of Talbot while still on the ground and he was yelling to (I'm guessing) the refs "who?" I guess to try to find out who hit Talbot. Then Hartnell was yelling over at Staios and it was only then that Staios began smirking. They showed Staios once before Hartnell starting chirping and he wasn't smirking. So I don't think he was smirking at Talbot out of disrespect, I think he was laughing to himself at whatever Hartnell yelled to him.

It doesn't bother me because we need these points and we play them again soon...I don't think it'll be forgotten by the Flyers. Look for an early fight next game.

Actually the one thing that did bother me watching it a second time was when Talbot was on the ground, not one of the Flyers came over to him. You could see at least two Flyers skate by (one of them was Carle probably thinking of what his next Tweet would be) and not one looked at him. I think eventually Coburn came over and said something to Talbot cause he kind of shook his head. I don't know, maybe some guys don't like to aide a fallen player cause it'll just get them mad and take their focus away?

Those teams had those "slugs" in their lineup to protect their players through the season. Without them there would be many more runs at their star players. I am sure star players don't want to deal with it during the regular season and would be happy to have a Sestito type on the team until the playoffs start. When it is playoff time though they usually get benched.

So is everyone real happy that Briere and Giroux are our toughest players? And are fighting? Two top scorers and a franchise player taking matter into their own hands. Pretty sad I'd say.
