2 on 1's and power plays happen every single game. Doesn't matter why they happen.

I'd disagree on Powerplays. When you have nothing going for you and you get a PP on a weak call and you are able to convert that's pretty lucky. Preds got outplayed up and down the ice most of the game except for the 2nd period. I'm glad we won but we got lucky. Rinne and luck were the great equalizer this game. CBJ should have had at least 3 or 4 goals. Not an impressive performance from the Preds. Just being realistic. Hopefully they were just tired tonight from the end of the road trip and get back to their level of play they had going up until the Philly game.

I can't remember the last time we had a game without a PP.

I do agree we got out played most of the night. Pretty typical Predator game to be honest. Spend most of the time in our zone. Mostly just allow perimeter shots. Only muster up a handful of scoring chances. Get great goaltending. Capitalize at the right time. Play reserved once we get a lead.

Zone time and quality scoring chances have been a problem with this team for years. Need more creative forwards IMO.

The two goals we scored were pretty though I thought.

this is the way you win a game when you are missing a star player... you have your other well paid players act like highly paid players and take up the slack.

very nice to see Erat and Fisher earn their paychecks tonight, and for the Captain to make yet another circus shot empty netter.

Needless to say, we can't play a period like we did in the first against the Hawks and expect to win..

It's games like last night that tell me that Rinne is the team's MVP so far.

Games like last night that also show the gaps in our overall team defense. We held them off the scoreboard, but, we allowed too many quality chances.
