I agree that he said A but didn`t mention B and C. That said, it isn`t completely unfair. Just isn`t the whole truth. That happens a lot.

1) to me - hence my response. Fine, nothing wrong with that, although one could question your POV.
2) some contradictory statements when you look back at the previous comments and their tone.
3) if you didn`t care, you wouldn`t be saying what you`re saying.

Moving on.
1- don’t know what A, B, and C mean
2- hysteric woman…good one. really solid. I’ll respond to your genius insult with one of my own: no, you are. ball is in your court
3- insulting Kevin Weekes is different than your personal comments towards me. should weekes ever create a HF account, I would be sure to be a lot more respectful as per the HF rules.
4- since your response was geared towards me and not the topic at hand, I believe I will ‘move on’.

Careful there. Getzo has 16000+ posts so his opinion matters more.

Ya, but Rivet sucked, and he wasn't really the one in charge of the room anyway. For Parise, neither of those things is true. He's our best player, and he's clearly a leader in the room.

definitely true. but to say we will never do it and teams don't do it is wrong. if the right opportunity came up i believe lou would do it if he knew parise wanted out.

I'd have to find the quote, but the Regier more or less said it.

alright, fair enough. just wanted to make sure that there is evidence that he had lost the room.

I have no problem at all with Weekes making these comments. Whether it's an issue of his style and not adapting, or simply decline due to age*, I don't think anyone can say that he wouldn't be somewhat better off if he were to have altered his style/pads to create more of a wall in goal. Deflections, screened shots, bad angle shots, and shots at his feet give him significantly greater problems than your run of the mill "lame ass wall of pads" goalie. Do I want to see Marty coming out in maxed out pads? No, but some adjustments could be made that would help him take up more net without relying entirely on being a blob.

*If it is simply age, rather than style, then his desire to come back next year is a serious problem because he's trending downward fast. .916, .916, .903, .895...

I hate to say it but if he comes back, it needs to be in a back-up role.

hopefully it would be in a backup role.

also, i could care less what kevin weekes says about marty. he's not even right anyway. why would marty have to adapt his game now? he has been declining because of his age, not the way he plays the game.

Marty lost a game. Uh oh time to take him to the back of the shed!

Seriously though no matter who is in net the Devils are seriously the only team this season that if you let another team in your zone for a good 45 seconds they could score a goal. Boston was barely in our zone the whole night! They get a few good seconds here, and there, and they get 3 points on the board! Not the first time this has happened.
