You know, I'm so tired of *****ing about the officiating in this league.....but it's ridiculous what I see nearly every night flipping through games on Center Ice every night....and this game's no different. One Kings power play in regulation after seeing tons of holds and inteferences? Versus multiple power plays including a 2 man advantage for Calgary? Seems like the officials are putting their stamp on more and more games lately.
Not blaming them for the Kings loss...Just hoping I see some consistency at some point before I die.
Meh, that sucked but it's not the end of the world. Kings just need to get better at home and Quick needs to work on his shootouts if the Kings are going to keep going to them.
Like I said, thank God for the point system. From the standpoint of winning and losing, I can barely call our team a winning team.
Handing playoff spot teams points they don't earn is a better argument. Like my post above. Calgary was playing for Overtime that whole Third period. You should make teams pay for doing that. just Like all the teams that made Murray's(king's) PAY.
I am concerned that the loser points/loser points given to other teams are going to impact our playoff positioning in a bad way. And it will, because getting home ice doesn't look like it's going to happen.
Because we suck at shootouts this year? Come on now.
It's part of the game now whether you like it or not. But that's not my point. I'd like to ignore the fact that we suck at shootouts this year. To me, it's more like "we suck at winning in regulation this year."

It will it's the Kings, the Kings should have a killer instinct by now. Playing well enough for that 6th to 8th spot should have ended last year.

With the way we play on home ice, we shouldn't want it.
They had no reason to lose that game. Controlled most of the game, but couldn't finish their chances. Most of which were really good chances. It's a ****ing joke that this team can't score. Anytime Dean wants to make a move is good for me. Enough of this losing points when they are actually playing well. The more time that passes = More points the team misses out on.
For getting at least a point pretty much every night people sure complain a lot.
Yup - because most of the time it's not the Kings fighting hard and coming away with a point they might not have otherwise deserved -- it's a game where they COULD, and in many cases (tonight included) SHOULD have won in either regulation or OT. Games like tonight are frustrating as all get-out, and the loser point is not solace. If the team were getting all the breaks, and managing to not shoot themselves in the foot, you'd see a lot less complaining about the 8-1-6 record... but that many OT and SO losses really doesn't bode well for the playoffs, in all honesty -- especially when the teams the Kings are chasing manage to keep acquiring points at a faster pace than the Kings do. So, yes, I refuse to condemn people for complaining, or to apologize for any complaints I may have. I refuse to be bullied into not expressing my opinion by people who themselves complain just as much, but about other posters instead of the team.

How do u figure that? Kings are 1 out from the division lead and 6 points behind st louis and Chicago, that's not insurmountable
Is that really considered a great record? That's basically an 8-7 record. Mediocre.
But hey, thank God for hockey's point system.
Sorry, I can't agree. People can call it the "loser point", but it is actually a bonus point that is going to the team that wins in OT or the shootout.
