Yeah - I'd say BB sits, but if they are both out I'd guess that Carkner plays forward/7th D and we see something like:

Greening - Spezza - Butler
Michalek - Turris - Alfie
Petersson-Foligno - Neil
Carkner - Konopka - Condra

Missed the game, only saw the highlights. Glad we won, but does that shot count accurately reflect the game?

Fell asleep in the 2nd intermish.

Nice to see the Sens lock down the game in the 3rd!

Shots against are a concern, however...

Too much Hollywood... Not enough reality in your life I guess.

Mid night start times are not fun Only got to catch the first period but I'm glad to hear Borocop had a good game and that Turris kept on being Turris.

After every interview I see Greening give, I like him more and more. For a guy who was a "nobody" I am truly happy to have him!

Awesome game!

Pleasantly surprised to wake up and see the final score this morning. I watched maybe the first 9-10 minutes (turned it off literally right before Turris scored ) then fell asleep.

I'd like the shots to be lower, but to be honest, I'm not as concerned about shots against as I am about quality scoring chances against.

For Anderson, it's not about preventing all shots, it's about limiting access to the front of the net and clearing people and rebounds from the crease, which Ottawa has been much better at of late.

He's said as much in interviews after several games.

If anything, the team deserves a lot of credit for helping Anderson boost his stats, because they're getting to those lingering pucks first when Craig gives up a rare rebound.

In the 1st, we were giving up quality scoring chances, but as the game went on, San Jose was playing more and more of a perimeter game, which Anderson seems perfectly comfortable with.

The way the team is playing reminds me a bit of how the Habs were playing when Halak was with them in the playoffs. Except with better offense. The team has been good clearing rebounds, and good keeping traffic minimal in front of the net and keeping shots to the perimeter. Which is why our goals against has gotten much better. Yeah we are allowing tonnes of shots, but the quality isn't great for most of them.

Our shots for concerns me a bit though. Getting just above 20 shots a game needs to get better. I'm fine with a team getting more pucks to the net if they are crappy shots from afar, and easy saves.

Overall, our shots-for to shots-against ratio could certainly use some work.

First period better SJ shots, in the 2nd and 3rd, a lot of shots were from the outside and it never felt like they were very dangerous.

Looking forward to seeing Petersson with Spezza. I hope his back holds up and that he can avoid getting hurt. The talent is there and Spezza desperately needs a talented winger that can score.

Greening - Spezza - Petersson
Michalek - Turris - Alfredsson

Really? You think we've been getting dominated in games and scoring a couple flukey or PP goals to get by? Anderson has been great, but IMO, we are nowhere near playing like Montreal did in the 2010 playoffs.

I'm also starting to question some of these shot totals versus Ottawa, particularly the last few games. The Leafs game was pretty inflated, especially in the second period. Even the game last night was a bit of a reach after the first ten minutes. I found the Sharks would go big stretches without anything and then get a 30 second shift where they had Ottawa hemmed with some great tic tac toe passing, but got few scoring chances. These shot totals against aren't ridiculous in terms of being inflated, but they are getting a hometown bump from what I can see. Great for Anderson's stats though...

Why are you referring to your sister in past tense?
