Get ready for some suckage! Excited to see Da Costa/Petersson if they get to play together after showing some chemistry in Bingo.

This doesn't look good for Smith.

They can get Smith nearly 2 full weeks off if they don't play him in these next 3 games, and you always want to err on the side of caution with concussions, so I figure it's likely he's out until after the all star break. Sucks to lose him but it came at a good time in the schedule. I'm excited to see how much Da Costa has come along in the AHL, he showed some really good flashes up here, but consistency was an issue.

Doesnt look to good for K-Daug or Smith I guess.

Good for Da Costa though. Really worked hard in the AHL and earned this callup.

Greening-Spezza-Michalek
Condra-Turris-Alfie
Foligno-Da Costa-Petersson
Butler-Konopka-Neil

...would be my guess now

these next 3 games really seem like a tryout period now...and imo will weigh heavily in terms of BM and the Euge making a final decision regarding adding another top 6er to this team.

but depending on how the kids play, it will play an important part in evaluating their development thus far and determining if we need to go out and add one more piece before the deadline or just relying heavily on what we have in the system already.

This will be a very interesting call-up. A nice mid-season test of the farm hands. Da Costa had some good games before tailing off. If the Bingo stint has his confidence back up this could be very interesting. Hope he gets some shifts with Turris. If he does he will be getting some set-up chances to be sniper.

"He will be Spezza's winger for the next 10 years" I believe is what he said.

I'm a fan of Da Costa. The frenchman can play, anxious to see him on the lineup vs Ducks

Steve_Lloyd58 secs It seems plan is to give Petersson a look w Spezza. His #BSens year took off when Da Costa was sent down. Now, he's also rejoining #Sens

Man, Petersson must take this chance and run with it.

What is more likely :

Greening-Spezza-Michalek
Condra-Turris-Alfredsson
Foligno-Da Costa-Neil
Petersson-Konopka-Butler

What I'm hoping :

Petersson-Spezza-Michalek
Foligno-Turris-Alfredsson
Greening-Da Costa-Condra
Butler-Konopka-Neil

This. Exactly this. Not mad if Smith misses only 3 games but has a 2 weeks break

He's just the kind of guy you want for these road games against Western teams.

Bad timing.

During the broadcast against the Sharks, Denis Potvin brought up a conversation he had with Brain Murray about Petersson.

Potvin said that Murray told him that:

"Petersson will be Spezza's right winger for the next ten years."

I just about fell off my chair in shock.

Surely BM wasn't THAT serious. I mean, he hasn't even played an NHL game yet haha
