Should have had my brain bucket..

Edmonton Oilers Taylor Hall has 30 reasons why kids and adults should skate with your helmet on. Taylor is very lucky. Talk to your kids so this doesn't happen to them.

Always have my helmet on whenever I'm on the ice. I may be a beginner but even if I were a Pro it would be the same.

Reminds me of what my dad used to tell me about driving and wearing a seat belt. It's not about you, it's about all the other idiots who might run into you.

In what State do they let youth hockey players even step on the ice without their helmets and full cages on?

Non issue for kids except for the neck protector debate. I have to wrestle my kid into that thing. I don't understand why those are not mandated for youth hockey.

I recently got a concussion playing pond hockey that could have been avoided with a helmet/mouth guard.

I still don't wear my helmet for skating outdoors, but once I'm able to play hockey again I'll probably start taking my helmet out for pond hockey too.

I got off lucky... minor injury. Taylor Hall got wrecked.

Very reminiscent of when Borje Salming got cut by Gerard Gallant's skate but that was in game and required almost 200 stitches to close if I remember correctly.
