I would definitely do that just a swap no pick needed

Thing is the Kings have Doughty and Johnson, they don't really need the offensive help from the blue line but Kopitar is definitely a player I would want if trading a player like PK

I would expect to get something along the lines of the Goligoski trade.

A stud Top line guy(preferably a center) and a #5-6 dman.

I still miss Lapierre's big mouth and propensity to hit everything that moves so if they ship Subban, another big mouth (hell to lukewarm!), out of town... it better be, like mentioned above by Whitesnake, a MAJOR OVERPAYMENT coming our way.

That being mentioned, I like Mathias Brunet a lot (one of my favorite hockey writers) but he is showing a lot of negative bias regarding the work of Gauthier. As for Phillipe Cantin, he is a good writer but "scoop/nhl sources/beat reports "are not his forte – he is at his best when he writes about the political, philosophical or economical aspects of hockey.

The only way you trade Subban is if you get a guy like JVR back.

I'm worried that by the time Gauthier is done, we'll all forget about the years of destruction Reggie Houle made to the club, because it'll be 10 times worst...

How about Stamkos or Nugent Hopkins for Subban? Both those teams need defense.

Even if we had an amzing deal with massive overpayment I would still be mad. PK has everything a defenseman needs to have a huge impact in the NHL and he's the most entertaining player I've seen on this roster since Roy. (I am not comparing the 2 in terms of how good they are, just how entertaining they are to watch)

I love Subban but I'd find it had to be upset if we were trading him for say, Columbus first round draft pick or Kopitar.

LOL a much better player? i get center ice watch some av games and Johnson hasnt panned out like avs thought he would for being a first overall sure doesnt play very physical for his big size makes some dreadful decisions at times with alot less pressure than what Subban has to deal with= Johnson is minus 11 if he played in Montreal he would be in the minus 20 range at this point of the season - shattenkirk the young player blues got in the deal has outplayed Johnson by quite a margin- No id take Subban over Johnson any day of the year!i dont care if johnson was no 1 overall ive watched both players this season and Subban is the overall better player

What are you, a closet Ottawa fan?

Don't you have better things to do with your time?

Gauthier would trade him for a vet and a 2nd round pick, it's his style.

I could see us getting something like Doan and a 2nd, just because PG is ridiculous.

In reality though, I would trade him for the right package. You don't trade someone like Subban to rebuild, he's young and he would be part of that package. The only reason he would be traded would be to upgrade our current team, and if this happens I'm really pissed. There's no way we can salvage the season and what the hell is the point of risking our future for one year of an 8th place finish in the playoffs. I would much rather end up in 12th place and get a pick than end up in the middle of the pack again, and I don't think Gauthier feels the same way. It seems like he feels we would rather make the playoffs than have a wicked draft pick which pisses me off.

LOL he has more value right now to the HAbs than what a Johnson would have and he will have more value in the future- do you actually w atch Johnson play full games??
Johnson doesnt play near the minutes that Subban plays too often - PK had 32 minutes against The jackets --32 minutes!! and was a plus

Guaranteed Goats needs to get major moves approved by someone. Unless he pulls off some miracle deals, he probably won't be around next season, so I doubt they would let him do anything stupid.

ehhhh, I'd hate it. A big thick guy that can skate, can defend, hit and has a cannon. I wouldn't trade him unless we are getting a top 3 forward AND a d prospect back. His value is low at this point because of the sophmore slump. He is going to grow with our young players. KEEP HIM.

Why would it even be considered? I sure would'nt trust Mr Gauthier to pull the trigger on any deal involving one of core players. The top players that should be left alone are.
1. Max
2.P.K
3.Gorges
4. Cole

I did'nt include Price but it would have to be a package of another decent goalie coming back plus an excellent big number 1 center which we so desperately need. I feel like Carey Price is a great goalie but I would trade him for the simple fact that he is the hab that would fetch the biggest return, trading him if done correctly might be the best and fastest rebuild we could ever hope for.

Jeeze. man you just love to sound important, don't you. The OP asked if there were any Subban trade that I would accept. Well that's one that I would accept. I didn't say T.P. or Ed would make either one. It's just the kinda trade i would be happy with.

Now go growl at someone else.

Make it a 2015 2nd round pick, because we need to build for our future's future.

Give me Shea Weber/Ryan Suter signed to an extension, and I'm good with trading Subban.

Depends on the return, IMO. Anyone saying it's unacceptable to trade Subban is wrong, IMO. It's unacceptable to trade him for poor value. I we get great value, who cares who is traded?
