Repik clears. IMO it would have been a smart move to give him a try, instead of Weber on the 4th line. Low risk, medium reward. The Habs should be using the rest of the season to try to find cheap talent for the next few years, among other things.

I'm a bit surprised he cleared. Could have been a nice fit with Eller if AK and/or Moen get moved.

Meech

and McLaren on waivers today

I would LOVE if we got McLaren if for no other reason than entertainment purposes.

Cause no one cares and Cammy is a big loser. The guy here didn't even hit the net in a shootout, I liked Cammy but after watching him play this year and see that all he did when talk, I don't and won't miss him one bit!

Ducks re-sign Beauchemin 3 years at 3.5 million( I don't know if the salary has been confirmed).

Anyone else just see Theodore look back through his legs on that 5-hole goal? Funny as hell.

OT: Turris playing well for Sens

Sens are 12-2-2 since picking this guy up. He looks like he could be the bonafide number one center they projected him to be. Anyone else think we missed the bus on this one?

Discuss.

Giving up Runblad is like giving up Beaulieu + if you talk about potential.
As well as too short of a time frame to make a educated decision.

Yeh, a nice turnover for him. As for the missing the bus thing - there's 30 teams in the league, are we gonna make ''miss the bus'' statements for each trades working out for a team? Ottawa had what Phoenix was looking for and vice-versa. That's just like saying we did not draft player x,y,z... We can't get them all

He has a fantastic wrist shot. The whole Sens team is playing well right now, so it's difficult to really judge one players contribution.

Everyone knew this guy was available. Their GM said they took the best that was offered. I just feel like we could've offered up something better to get this guy. Instead we sit here and waste our time on older vets.

Tampa and Carolina are both 11 points out of the playoffs, they're also 11 points out of their division lead.

We're pretty stocked with defense prospects though. And we could've thrown in a vet...

I'm just disappointed to see this guy going to Ottawa and producing. It's another big center that we've missed out on.

Maybe we can get something like taht for Darche, at least he works hard and can kill penalities. Ponikarovsky is a skill guy not producing.

The guy is 185lbs, Gomez and Plekanec are bigger than him. Plus why trade taht much for a guy that's going to be no better than Plekanec DD or Eller. People complain we have no "trude #1" well Turris is another #2 guy.

Lamoriello, Holmgren should be Fired!

Now that I have your attention, these two very successful GM's presided over utterly disastrous seasons, yet both are still around, and did not deserve to be fired.

The Devils won the Stanley Cup one year then didn't qualify for the PO the very next year, maybe even twice (too lazy to research).

But why does PG need to be fired for one bad season? Many of us, including McKenzie thought we were ready to take the next step, it didn't work out that way.

The circus, created by fans, nationalists, and the media, will be perpetuated if we fire him.

So why does he need to go?

I know about his "bad trades" that many initially supported and later many fans condemned.

I thought this was going to be on how they should be fired so the Habs could hire them. Did not see this twist coming.

Some people just want to be run by incompetent leaders.
