Whats going on with Penner this season? Ever since he was traded to LA he sucked.

Used to be good in front of the net. Watched only few LA’s games this season. Every time I watched he did not look that bad. He is no 30 goal scorer and overpaid but he is decent in front of the net good for 20 plus goals per season in the right environment. Knuble like play a bit more physical imo.

Does anyone watch LA here on regular basis?

I can't figure LA out. I don't watch all of their games, but most of the time I do watch them they look pretty good. Then at the end of the game they're lost or barely won. They can't get the puck into the net.

This is how I feel. I start watching them and they can't score but play ok and I switch to another game. I come back and it is the same game, pace, score, same flow. Nothign really going on. A bit boring even. They do not have have boring players. If break it down, LA is very talented.

Beauchemin has been re-signed by the Ducks. 3 year extension, $3.5 million/year according to a re-tweet from Dennis Bernstein @ The Fourth Period

Penner has the hockey IQ of a flea. He just seems to skate around but isn't sure why he's there. The wingers on LA are awful but assuming they get into the playoffs, they should do well because Quick is amazing and their defensive game is really good. God, you watch Quick and drool, he knows how to steal games. But overall, they're pretty boring, especially when Murray was the coach. He is just an older John Stevens while Sutter is actually seen talking to the players and showing a bit of emotion, just a bit.

Penner can be a very good player when he wants to be, and more often than not it seems that he does not want to be.

Penner hasn't eaten enough pancakes. Based on the game against Calgary, he lacks arm strength for being such a big guy.

I don't know, I think he's going to do well there, and that it's a pretty good acquisition for the Devils.

On a somewhat unrelated note, check this picture out - Mattias Lindstrom - age 20?!

If that's him at 20, he stopped getting carded at 14.

yeah they are being coached the same system in Manchester. boring as hell. they dont score much at all. Manchester has dropped 7 in a row. probably averging less then 2 goals a game doing so.

With the cheap and subtle hit to Halpern's head in the playoffs as well as him giving the finger to the Montreal crowd and now this, Andrew Ference is starting to become one of the dirtiest guys around imo. What a tool.

Steve Ott pulling a **** move on Darroll Powe at the end of a fight, throwing punches while Powe was pinned down. Wild respond a few minutes later by scoring a team-record 3 goals in 59 seconds.
