Even $1 million seems a bit extreme for his services. I would put his value closer to $750,000. And that is being generous.

True. I forgot that, even if the cap goes up to $45M, AEG will probably keep their budget at $35M. Still, there's more than enough from JR's salary, alone, to cover raises... though the team couldn't afford another $5M player, but oh well.

They spent 55M only a few years ago...
not to mention all the money they're making from the Narnia movie and the potential for the sequels (i.e Harry Potter).
It's nice to have the flexibility under the cap to make a move if you need to, plus with the cap going up next year you have even more wiggle room.
