1- If he doesn't score, who cares? We're tanking anyway. Putting Gomez there is the ultimate proof we needed: we're not trying to win anymore.
2- If by any miracle Gomez scores, it could help his game, give him some confidence.
Eller played lackadasically on their 3rd on the boards. PK did what he was supposed to do there.
DD's chicken-head-cut-off routine while skating back 'covering' on their 4th was the reason Gill couldn't push up a bit on Malkin.
They cannot trade PK now, suicidal. Kaberle is beyond abysmal, even with the puck. Campoli useless, Gill outside of his crease area very bad. Emelin is a stud. Gorges is alright for what he is. No touch PK, unreal ceiling and getting there.
People blaming Price need to get real, he's the least of our worries right now, he's having a subpar season but that's because he's usually pulling miracles left and right. He's been playing much better than we have any right to expect during such a crappy season. We should sign him long term. We should also tank, make good trades at the deadline and use the remaining games to get our young players in line. Subban needs more discipline, Eller, Emelin, etc. could play more because they have potential.
for the rest of the season, we are better off losing, finishing 15 is better than 9th. Maybe we can get a game changer in the draft(hopefully). Between now and the trade deadline, we should be getting rid of the dead weight and get decent prospects.
