but he should have been suspended for 10 games, he's such a unclassy POS, etc.

I didn't even notice it last night. He's gotta be more careful with these dangerous types of plays. We have an image to maintain, we're not the Boston Bruins here. I preferred when he levelled with open-ice hits la Emelin like he did last yr. Where's the Subban I know and love?

Here's the slewfoot for those like me who missed it:

Stupid, stupid.

PK needs to start playing with his head and being the player we know he can be.

he deserves the fine....and now cue the haters....ahhhh the pregame shows and L'antichambre will be all PK hate, all the time.

I wonder if it would be a different vue of his play if his last name were Lafontaine or Potvin

In my opinion he deserved a harsh suspension. I don't understand this league, why they are so afraid of suspending guys. That is such a dangerous play, it has no place in the game. Didn't Marchand also receive a fine for a slew foot a few weeks ago? It boggles my mind sometimes.

This kind play happens almost every game, especially in front of the net, funny they chose to fine PK.

I hope PK starts learning from this stuff. He's still got more growing up to do.

We have to stay patient though. I'm tired of cutting out players for attitude issues.

Very dangerous. It's one thing to do it on open ice and another to do it while going towards the boards. Kunitz could have hurt his legs there. Hopefully he stops doing it now.

Just curious.. How many games would your harsh suspension be?

I wouldn't have minded a 2-3 game suspension for that if it meant he'd stop doing it.

Yep, Subban should of gotten at least a game. That's freaking dangerous this close to the board, Kunitz could of hurt his ankle.

I love PK but that was dangerous and stupid. He deserved a fine, maybe even a game.

In front of the net slew foot, is not the same as what PK just did.

Next time he does it he can get a suspension. A fine should at least make him aware the NHL is watching him.

Not a smart play in a race for the puck. I'm not sure he intends to do harm but it's obviously a bad habit. He's gotta keep his feet grounded and keep his head up when he makes plays. He runs around too much. Preserve your energy PK and play steady. Immature plays like this will eventually hurt someone.

No this kind of crap doesn't happen every game, and if you watched the replay you'd notice that it happened next to the boards which makes it twice as dangerous. To even defend this type of play is making yourself look foolish. I'm happy he was given the fine because this is a play we've seen from Subban in the past. Like every other poster in here has already said, hopefully he can get his act together and start playing smarter. He'd be so much more effective if he stayed away from this crap.

Yes, in front of the net is different than near the boards, my only point is, that all players who do it should get fined and/or suspended, that is all, not just PK.

How many other players were suspended for doing the same or similar thing?

He should of been suspended. His arguing with the coaches when he f's up has to stop as well. Once he wakes up he'll become a better player like you mentioned.
