Well, he hasn't been very consistent...a lot of those points were very early in the season. In the last 30 games or so, he has 7 points, while playing mostly top-six minutes, while being outproduced by guys like Tim Stapleton, and Wellwood, other guys who might be considered 4th liners on other teams. Despite Stapleton averaging only around 10 minutes. I stand by the 'not a top six' statement.

Though granted the Jets themselves haven't been all that consistent.

He is progressing, albeit slowly. I don't see a break-out year, until his 4th or 5th season.

Obviously a huge game tonight and one that I think will say as much about this team as any. Great news about Bogo being back in the lineup.

Thinking of making a V cash bet. How do you go about it? Thanks.

No Kane or Stapleton at practice, Cormier's stall set up in dressing room.

Kane w/ possible concussion, won't play. Stapleton with lower-body injury, won't play.

Burn. I heard Kane went home feeling sick. Was hoping it was the flu.

Thanks. Made my first Vcash...bet $ 200 on the Jets. Seemed like pretty good odds cosidering Florida is playing a back to back game and had travel issues last night.

I can't believe the injuries we are getting. I hope losing Kane tonight won't have too big of an impact. Like to see Burmi get a chance in his place, but my guess is they will slide Ladd up to the first line.

I can't believe Kane has a concussion. Ugh. Let's hope it's not ' day to day'. To be honest, I don't think we will really miss him too much with the way he's played in 2012

It is not as if Kane has been producing over the past few games anyway. The Jets have dealt with injuries all season and have done so admirably. I'm an optimist; one door closes, another opens. I'm looking forward to seeing Cormier get another opportunity. Not saying that he or anyone else replaces Kane, just that hopefully the team pulls together as a group and can overcome yet anther player lost.

The Jets can win this game.

What exactly did he do playing a regular shift on other lines, turning the puck over in the offensive zone every time he had the puck doesn't count.

Well(wood), it looks like we'll get to see if the Wellwood-Antro-Burmi line can regain the chemistry they had earlier in the season. IC is reporting that the lines are:

Forwards:
1st: Andrew Ladd-Bryan Little- Blake Wheeler
2nd: Kyle Wellwood- Nikolai Antropov- Alexander Burmistrov
3rd: Tanner Glass- Jim Slater- Chris Thorburn
4th: Antti Miettinen- Patrice Cormier-Eric Fehr

Defence:
Ron Hainsey- Tobias Enstrom
Zach Bogosian-Johnny Oduya
Mark Stuart-Randy Jones

EDIT: that 4th line should be pesky, if they're all on their game. Good to see Cormier get some time again - unfortunate that it's due to Kane being out. I don't remember seeing him get rocked in that game - hope it's not super serious.

Time for a musical interlude; this band has sort of a Black Sabbath vibe... if they were a southern band. Great groove if you like heavy music.

PS: Go Jets Go

Wellwood isn't a fair comparison. He's third on the team in scoring

Burmistrov has been very disappointing after a good start to the season. He still has tremendous potential but it's almost painful to watch his offensive play at times. He doesn't seem to be making good passes when he has the puck and he doesn't seem to get open when he doesn't. It looks like a lack of confidence at this point. He's got a ton of skill and the effort is always clearly there so I still believe he'll turn it around. Having some offensively capable linemates to work with and not being bounced around to a different line every night would be helpful.

With Kane out, hopefully Ladd moves up and Burmi can play beside Antropov.

This team cannot stay healthy. First Little was hurt, then Wheeler, now Kane. Losing Stapleton also hurts, particularly the PP. It's lucky that Bogosian is back now, otherwise Jones or Stuart would be playing the PP
