Sharks have put McLaren on waivers.

So, he'll either be heading to Worcester or new NHL rink.

i'm not surprised as he's failed to impress me this season, in addition he does not seem to be the player that made an impact a couple of seasons ago for a few games in the NHL. Doubt anyone will pick him up at this point... We'll see him with the Wo SHarks soon i'd guess.

Sharks purpose of putting him on waivers is to assign him to Worcester.

What other reason would they put him on regular waivers?

Get rid of his worthless ass?

Oh btw, that reminded me, he and Jamie McGinn did the most ridiculous and half-hearted chest bump in the locker room yesterday right before the game, I laughed.

Frazer was going to be nothing more than a 4th line grinder who could drop the gloves once in a while. He wasn't going to be anything special.

I'm guessing that Frazer being waived may also mean that Sheppard and Havlat are close to coming back and DW is happy with Ferriero and Wingels. I also think that Winchester's emergence (remember he can also scrap) has made McLaren's services expendable.

Just pointing out why the Sharks simply don't need McLaren now nor in the future. And with better scoring young forwards looking for more ice time (Ferriero and Wingels) the obvious choice is McLaren.

Agreed. and he really wont drop the gloves anymore and yet they resigned him and took up a roster spot to do so....]

That's great, but I was asking for what other reason why San Jose would put him on waivers then to send him to Worcester...

He was a healthy scratch tonight, although no one I know of saw him so it's possible he hasn't reported yet.
