It really did and it was a s***** move by Ferrence. I'm wondering if it's upper body or did Ferrence's knee make contact with McD's leg? Hope it isn't the dreaded "C" word!

Bruin fans are saying he faked the severity of the hit.

It definitely looked like he got the wind knocked out of him. you could see he had to take a minute to regain his breathing/ composure after Ramsey was out there.

go rangers.

I've got an idea for how to stop these hits - you put a guy out with a concussion, it's no longer a judgment call by Shanny. Instead, you sit for as long as he has to sit. Injured guy still collects a paycheck; you don't.
Count me in dude. It's about time the league grew some ***** and mettered out just punishment for all these reckless hits!

Let's relax here people...the way he got up it honestly looked like he just got the wind knocked out of him. It didn't appear like a concussion or a collar bone type of thing.

ACL? Doubt it, he would have been in A LOT more pain. Additionally most ACL tears are non contact

I'd expect that from Pens fans - generally Bruins fans are a step above that.

It seemed to me he was more favoring his lower back than anything else. Whatever it is, I hope he's okay.

He didn't hit his head.

Looks like a arm/shoulder injury.

the Bruins fan base is literally the LAST fanbase that should complain about a penalty like that considering the multitude of HEAD injuries to players such as Bergeron and Savard.

I don't think it was a shoulder injury at all. My reasoning is that he put all his weight on his left arm (and thusly his shoulder) to get up from the ice. You can clearly see that in the video. THat was the same shoulder that slammed into the boards. It's gotta be something else.

Looked like he had the wind knocked out of him, his head did not hit the ice and it was his shoulder that went hard into the boards. The fact he got up and skated, even though it took a bit, and didn't grad his arm or look extremely wobbly leads me to believe he had the wind knocked out of him. I am sure they are going to examine him for a concussion, but hopefully he is okay.

I don't think anyone's ever considered Boston Bruin fans all the bright to begin with did they? No question Ferrence had 1 thing on his mind..Dubi should have sucker punched him. It would have been worth the win IMO..

hopefully just a tweak and nothing bad. Sometimes something will hurt like hell when it first happens but then it goes away after a few minutes and isn't a big injury. It's not faking it to be in pain and not sure what's hurt until your body has a chance to sort things out and you can tell if you're really hurt or just in some pain

As many a user has stated before, it doesn't look bad in slow motion. He definitely didn't hit his head. I really hope he's ok, he played phenomenally today.

Fingers crossed for now...hopefully nothing more than bruised ribs or a strain. Thankfully the ASB is coming up, even if there's no concussion I wouldn't mind having him sit out Tuesday and take the additional time off.
