That's a quick diagnosis of a concussion considering it took days to get one for Giroux and JVR

Hopefully this one isn't Prongeresque.

holmgren is covering up whatever injury he has had in the past few weeks

he is doing the same for JVR

neither of them have concussions.

Honestly, even including the game in Nashville, I think Bryz has done very well in the last 3 starts as a whole. Hope it becomes a norm for him in Philly and actually wins games and wins them well.

RT @davegisaac: Pay extra attention to @PSPhantoms tweets tonight to see who isn't playing. Phantoms play Bridgeport at 7.

Have you seen last night's poll? Apparently there's a guy named Neimi who made a huge save this previous week

RT @davegisaac: Source tells me Tom Sestito and Ben Holmstrom will be called up for tomorrow's game against Boston. Sestito certainly for physical play.

I think he and the team realizes that, if this message board is any indication, the fans hate the media. I mean, the Flyers loathed Panotch for years, now he's on their payroll.

As long as he plays well, use a common enemy I guess.

Seeing that goal my initial reaction was "why isn't Bryz' stick on the ice?" but on the replay it looked like he was beginning to direct the incoming shot into the corner. His shifted his weight onto his right leg, and started moving his stick with it. Then the deflection came and the puck went right where his stick just was.
on a play like that, your focus is on where the puck is shot towards. Bryz was going to make the save with his right pad on the ice. the stick is not involved, in fact, you don't even think of it - then, the puck is deflected to his left .. at that point, you attempt to move the left pad toward the shot, flat on the ice to make the save. but the puck went to Bryz's far left, to the outside of his pad, but to the inside of the post [of course]. in neither case would that be a stick save. if it was deflected towards Bryz's 5 hole, he would have closed his pads together quickly, moving them is much quicker than trying to reposition the stick - it's all leg instincts at that point.

a perfect result for the Devils on that tip. faulting Bryz on that one, is like faulting Bob on the breakaway goal he let up last game.

Hi guys! Completely missed this one due to being with the travel agent (Mexico or Cuba in the works) How did we look overall? I noticed Bryz got third star so it can't have been all bad right? Right...?

Injured:
Briere concussion.
Jagr groin/lower body.
Rinaldo upper body.

Hartnell, Simmonds, Bryzgalov, special teams, among others, excelled.

Was it just me or did Giroux (and others) seem to get back on track after Jagr left the game? Don't get me wrong I love Jagr, but he was clearly bringing down everyone else by playing injured. Keep him out until he's back to 100% this time, because it was extremely frustrating to watch Jagr struggle in just about every part of the ice.

Jagr did struggle indeed after WC groin injury and when he came back just 2 games after, everyone could tell he isn't healed.
Yet in those 2 games without Jagr, G didn't get a single point, so it can't be all just Jagrs fault, don't try to be that simple ppl
G stopped shoting, no matter if Jagr is there or not..

Giroux I didn't think had a great game. No jump in him at all. I don't know if he is exhausted physically or mentally but this all star break can't come soon enough. A nice change of scenery for a bit I am sure will do him wonders.
