I decided to go with the LA game instead based on a coin toss. Damn coin.

RT @Russostrib: #mnwiId crediting Steve Ott for this win, specifically punching Powe on ice. Says powe, "that's the type of player is he"

Did Powe win the fight? If so, I guess he will become everyone's new favourite player.

Lee Stempniak had a hat trick in the battle of Alberta. Good for the Flames, they badly need some secondary scoring.

Well, Ott ended up on top of him.

Whatever happened it turned the momentum of the game, and the Wild were pretty pissed off at Ott. Clutterbuck also had things to say after the game.

Wow, guy on COL almost lost his head. Barely sidestepped a massive hit.

Was that Richie? It was right there at the end when they were on the powerplay right after the Quick slash?

Kings have the 30th ranked offense, and somehow they're 1 point out of the division.

Jonathan Quick should be getting some serious consideration for MVP. He's been the best goaltender in the league this year, considering he loses any game where he gives up 2 goals.

Yeah, that's when it happened, but I don't think Richards was on the ice. I'm not sure who it was. Kopitar?

Yea I saw Kopi on the penalty kill but I think it was his forward partner on the ice with him. I have no clue who it was if it wasn't Richie.

It was Dustin Brown. I just checked the replay.

A column regarding the Sabres' situation...

http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/article714961.ece

Quote:
The Sabres in recent seasons were two or three impact players from contending, but now it looks more like six or seven. They're not even close. If they think otherwise, they're kidding themselves. Their franchise goaltender insists he wants to stick around, but his play suggests he's waiting for the first bus out of town. The same goes for a half-dozen teammates or more.

It all comes back to Regier.

He was given an open checkbook to improve the hockey department [see: no excuses] when Pegula purchased the franchise. The team he built is broken, and he's made no repairs despite mounting losses. It falls directly at his feet. If he can't find trade partners after years of not returning telephone calls, the Sabres need to hire someone who can.
Quote:
But changes are needed, and they start with him.

Here's a little secret: Several executives, stunned when Regier was retained, are snickering after seeing him spend so much for so little. Buffalo had the same attitude before the cap was implemented toward the Rangers when New York had one of the NHL's highest payrolls and missed the playoffs year after year.

Imagine, people laughing at Buffalo for frivolous spending. It's hard to believe that they reached this point.

Enough is enough.

Considering they do have Enroth, they could get some serious assets for Miller, especially if he turns back to normal somewhere better.

Pittsburgh is looking like a power house in game against Caps

Edit:Malkin looks like the best player in the league.
