Anyone who needs a rough look ahead can feel free to look at my spreadsheet here. It's not up-to-date with trades, but I have nothing to do for the next couple of hours so I may make it current.
With my pick one away, I wanted to post this now in case I'm asleep when it rolls around:
To Kenora Thistles- #23, #215
To Kimberley Dynamiters- #59, #70
This is conditional on a couple of players being available at #23. Papershoes has my permission to complete the trade if he finds that one of his choices is still on the board.
1st + 7th for 2nd + 3rd is pretty borderline in my opinion, especially when the 1st isn't premium value. Looks like the usual suspects are at it again. papershoes, I love ya, but you might be the worst negotiator in the ATD.
Nor do I. While I understand the second is a later pick, so is the first and that third is one of the better ones..to me that is not enough going Kenora's way.
...but you might be the worst negotiator in the ATD.
you're probably right - often times i wonder if i'm a little to laid-back when it comes to trades. definitely not a cut-throat negotiator by any means.
i think next draft i'll seek out the assistance of a trade consultant...

I'm with you man, I always feel bad driving a hard bargain. Which is bad enough in the ATD, but even worse when overseas .
Don't let those Thai girls talk you up over 10 bucks, ever. They've just got to learn to live with the "you might be a dude" discount
Hey man, just think of it as added value on your purchase.
I've never been to Thailand, but I did have to decline a marriage proposal from a 17 year old in Tanzania last year. My friend over there says she just had a baby. Thankfully it doesn't look like me
Not that I'm a member of the trade committee, BUT:
We have two experienced GMs here making a deal where they clearly know the value of the picks. I don't necessarily like the deal as far as value, but if they want to do it, I wouldn't be the one to stop it.
Didn't count arrbez who seems to be taking both sides.
Didn't count Sturm who is not in the draft.
My opinion is this trade skirts the line of what could be allowed, so I'm waiting for more comments to form an opinion. Particularly interested in comments on my question in post 65.
oh, haha, that's right. We were looking for 2-draft vets
Doesn't need to have completed 2 drafts to see that this trade is horrible.
someone once said the trades should been like this:
1st and 4th for 2nd and 3rd.Now I disagree with this as a rule because some round jumps are bigger in value , but 1st and 5th for 2nd and 3rd is a start.
It's a lot worst , the difference between a 3rd and a 7th is pretty big.
I pretty much agree with this. While it's hard to compare to last draft due to the different amount of teams, moving up 36 picks to move down 145 picks is too big of a gap at this stage. I do however think this trade should be pretty easy to re-work.
