Speed probably. Baseball seems sooooo slow compared to hockey.

I know I love the physicality of the sport, and the fighting.
There is no other sport in the world where you can stick up for yourself with a good old fashion throwdown

It's the combination of all that make hockey the greatest game. All sports have good qualities, but none combine them like hockey does.
Speed
Artistry
Collisions
Fighting
Intensity
etc.
etc.

Physical contact-Not just fighting although I enjoy that a lot. You have to have Stones to play hockey.

Speed and finesse often are combined in hockey. Seeing a skilled player fly with the puck is great. But also seeing a true powerforward go to the net like a steam train is entertaining. I think you need both parts for it to be a good hockey game.

I'd agree with that take.

ditto
though if you want a combination of speed and physical play see last weeks Flyers-Devils game. That was one of the most entertaining games for the Devils so far. I don't mind high scoring games but sloppy goaltending like in the Boston-San Jose game isn't how the game should be played.

I live for high-scoring games. Nothing better than a 7-6 goalfest.

I'm a speed freak, myself. I love to see end-to-end action with great saves on both ends.

Hitting. Lots of it. And emotion. Players looking like they actually give a ****.
Nothing better than two teams going at it, hitting everything in sight. Lots of fights is good as well. I'm a big fight fan.
6-5 games. 1-0 games CAN be good, but usually they suck. 6-5 games are always good.
