Subban isn't going to get traded though...

But I believe D. Roy would be easier to get.

French name? Good enough for Gauthier (see Bourque, René)

this is the bar for making a thread these days?

He chose to play for team USA. Just throwing that out there, if you were curious about his citizenship and alignment as that seems to be the primary argument for the Habs acquiring him.

Besides, he might be the only player the Sabres won't part with.

Probably starts at Subban + 1st + something else.

If this is the bar looking forward to Vincent Lecevalier for Carey Price , Daniel Paille for Diaz and more to come should be fun.

nearly untouchable. sabres want to move move ahead with their stars. (pommer, vanek, myers). they're not selling to be good in 3 years, plus he's their captain

he is from Quebec and speaks french. Not saying that's the reason we should get him but he does have some identité québecoise he just choose the american team because he taught he would have more chance of playing than in team Canada.

Subban +1 is laughable there is no one on the sabres roster than i would trade that for even Vanek.

It's like saying you would trade Myers + 1st.

is there honestly anyone in Montreal that would be an upgrade for the Sabres over Pominville? i'd imagine if you wanted to land him, there would be a serious overpayment.

He's one of the most underrated players in the league. I'd say he's even more underrated than the king of underrated Erikkson. Nobody knows the guys name but there he is doing everything and more for the Sabres. If we move him it would be massive overpayment, he's our captain, and has been our best player all year.

He also resides year-round in East Amherst, New York. Apparently la belle province ain't so beautiful to Pominville.

He's played for the Sabres for 8 years, having a residence in a Buffalo suburb isn't that surprising.

I'd do Eller + 1st. No matter what people say, Pominville is hardly untouchable. Really, nobody on this team should be, except maybe Myers. MTL will have a high first round pick, BUF needs to rebuild. Get a couple top 10 picks and restock for the future. Pominville is the most consistent player on the team, but as a captain, he's hardly inspirational. This team needs new leadership.

Pretty sure he spends his off-seasons in Montreal. And he lives in Clarence Ctr.(along with half of the team), not E. Amherst.
