I'm going with the "Sid is out for the season" mentality until anything changes.... I think it's tough to infer that any progress is being made. Plus, I would rather him sit out the entire year than be reintroduced into the lineup during the playoffs where physical play really ramps up.
We gotta put him in a position for success and I'm just not sure that putting him into the lineup during the toughest stretch of games is the best idea.
Considering he suffered a setback from a menial collision with Kunitz and a small shot from Krejci, I feel pretty comfortable with that approach for now.
Agreed with Pancakes. You can't let anything sway you for/against making a move except for whether or not it makes this team better now and moving forward. If Shero happens upon a team willing to make a legit hockey trade that will help now and in the future, he takes it, whether it's tonight or February 27th at 2:59pm.
