In addition, I heard on good authority that he not only helped an old lady across the street, but he even gave a child a puppy for Christmas. A PUPPY.

Gaborik needs a guy like him.

25 to go now. He sure seemed to play hard against one of the best, toughest teams in the league. I think he'll be fine come playoff time. He also seemed to show some real emotion (he's emotionless? really?).

Just imagine how many goals he'd have if Avery were feeding him the puck.

I think we definitely need the countdown-to-10-shutouts thread.

Has Gabby had a hat trick yet this season? I still think he can hit 50 if he heats up and has at least two hat tricks for the rest of the season.

He's been pretty strong the last 3 games. A few popsicle stick moments here and there but I've been happy with his effort.

He's half way there, and just a bit off pace. It's totally doable, but he needs to stay a bit more consistent.

I'd love to see a Richards, Gaby, Hagelin line.

Even better:
Avery-Richards-Gaborik

Probably the most dominant line in the league.

That is if they could enter the O zone without it being offsides.

His first goal today looked so effortless. He was playing like a boss.

From playing in net for many years - if a guy gets all of the puck when it drops down like that on a one timer swing... very hard to read. Great goal.

Meh. Get the man linemates that can finish, then you might begin to scratch the surface of Avery's dominance.

He needs a hot finish, but he can do it. Might not even be enough for the Rocket. Stamkos is too good.

I give you props for praising him. I know you have somewhat of a vendetta, but when you can turn that switch off and admit when a player you don't like played a good game, I place you above the slurry of crappy complainers that make up a portion of this team's fanbase.

You DEFINITELY wouldn't have liked my skating at all.

I still skate like a popsicle stick.

Anyway, I see Gabby netting 40, hopefully getting past the 42 goal marker so he can set a new career high.

Yeah. He's one of those clowns that goes around saying stupid crap like: "FIRE TORTS!!! HE HATES AVERY!! AVERY NEEDS TO PLAY! THIS TEAM WON'T WIN WITHOUT SEAN! HE'S THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE TEAM. IF TORTS THE CLOWN PUT HIM ON THE FIRST LINE, HE'D HAVE BETTER NUMBERS THAN GRETZKY!!!"

The popsicle stick term has nothing to do with his skating. It's his bodily stiffness. No homo.

Not Gretzky, but definitely Stamkos. He's that good.

You must be brainwashed by the PC, liberal media!

That's what I meant... he's a very stiff skater, unless he's taking off.

I agree, he is very stiff.

I hear you! We should trade for Enver Lisin, that would be an insane combo!
