Miller, Kiprusoff or Ward to the Hawks

What would these Teams want?

Fans say all prospects are available, but after a report it's said that K Hayes, Olsen and Saad are untouchable and that Bowman does not want to trade away a roster player that plays (Scratches like Lepisto or Bickell can be had).

Other than this, what would it take?

No interest in either. Our strategy is to go cheap on goal and bolster the rest of the roster.

Ward is probably as untouchable as they come. Also, after Feaster's statement after the Cammy trade (that the Flames plan to push for the playoffs) it's unlikely Kipper will be moved either.

Essentially your taking out your best prospects but want a top goalie in return. None of these guys could be had for scraps so just post a proposal on what your willing to give up.

I'll say one thing, Kipper wouldn't be moved to a conference team unless it was epic overpayment.

Ward is a non-starter. Carolina won't be giving him up any time soon.

Similar for Kiprusoff, given Calgary is dead-set on trying to make the playoffs this year.

It's been said that Miller's not really on the block, and honestly, I'm not too interested in acquiring him anyway.

I don't think Calgary is very interested in trading Kiprusoff. We're still in the the playoffs mix solely because of him. The guy is an absolute game breaker .

You say your top prospects are untouchable and roster players aren't to be traded and then you offer up Sami Lepisto and Bryan Bickell. How very enticing. Carolina and Calgary should be all over that.

If hawks need a goalie, best to go after Halak in STL, taking it theseason elliot is having.

Cheap on goal is dangerous. more often than not it never works and it can become very frustrating for the fans. Ask Philly,Washington!

I guess you can plan on being the next Detroit but you need to build a system that shuts teams down like they do(did) for it to work.

Personally I think you need a good goalie on a roll at the right time to win a cup these days.

All you need is a goalie who can catch a bolt of lightning in the playoffs. Niemi did it our cup year. Crawford did it last year. This year Emery is looking like our guy.

Buffalo would obviously be asking for Crawford coming back, as we have no one near NHL ready in the pipeline.

Miller + Roy for Crawford + Bolland + Frolik + 1st?

Because the Blues will trade their #1 goalie who is playing great to a division rival in the middle of a playoff push...

Especially given his playoff track record and the high chances of these two teams meeting in the playoffs.

By the way, when we do inevitably meet in the playoffs, please play Elliott.

No, no, wait. I take it back. Actually play like...Jake Allen. Yeah, play Jake Allen.

huge mistake to upgrade in goal....

priorty for your teams is atop 4 dman.......followed by a second line center

then you can look at goaltending

Roll the dice and grab Roloson. The other option would be Harding but who knows what the price would be.None of those guys are realistic for a few reasons but mainly the cap. All 3 have huge cap hits.

not interested to trade Bolland for Roy. Not interested to trade Bolland

Crawford + Pirri + 2nd would be a solid offer for Miller. You would get a shakeup, a 1a/b goalie, solid pieces for the future and CapSpace to go after other players your team really needs. Enroth and Crawford would be a good (and cheap compared to Miller) tandem

I really think that the rumors are true and Miller would like to be traded to the Western Conf.. These rumors hold too long and come up every now and then.

How about Vokoun? After a slow start to the season, he's really picked up his game; but injuries and lack of depth mean the Caps could easily be out by the deadline anyway. His contract is also very cap friendly. What would the Hawks offer?

The season Chicago is having I doubt they'd be interested in a struggling Miller. Kipper and Ward probably don't get moved either.

Not without someone like Bolland coming back. With Vokoun likely to get a bigger contract elsewhere over the summer, Holyby's our only insurance on Neuvirth. We'd need a big return to justify the risk.

Miller has stated emphatically he wants to remain in Buffalo. However, IF he was willing to waive his NTC, it'd probably be the move to the west coast to be closer to his wife. Though, Miller has stated several times previous he loves Chicago and visited it several times in the offseason, so its possible it could hold some lure for him.

Miller is playing poorly

Kipper has been average goalie 3 of last 4 years

Neither is worth acquiring

Would love Ward but he isn't being traded by Canes as he is face of franchise

Am i reading the parameters correctly in saying that No roster players can be had, and your top 3 prospects can't be had?

Sorry but you wont land a top tier goalie for a couple scrubs and a late 1st. If you want any of these guys it'll have to be Crawford + top prospect/decent roster player + 1st going the other way IMO

Kipper could most likely be had for less because Calgary blows and can use all the help they can get, so getting a younger capable guy like Crawford back plus something else would suffice.

Ward would cost the most, and Miller, who wants him? His attitude is piss poor. The guy needs to work on stopping the puck and stop worrying about who's gunna back him if someone runs him. I feel as though his media presense is drawing his focus, and not his game play.
