I've been saying it for weeks: Our biggest problem is the amount of shots we allow, and it isn't even close. We don't possess the puck. Teams pepper us with shots until they have enough goals to sit back on defense. I'd like to compare how many times we've given up 35+ shots this season compared to recent seasons. I bet we're giving up a ton more shots this year.
21 times last regular season and 14 times so far this year.
Is there a worse passing team in the NHL than the Sabres? There can't be more than two or three.
It's funny, cause Vanek/Roy/Pominville/Hecht were pretty automatic on the rush from like 05-08. Look at Jason's goal reel when he was a top 5/15 ES goal scorer between 06 and 08. Half of them are just finishing off tic-tac-toe passing plays.
i think Atlanta signed him as a free agent, or he was a trade from Rangers when he was with them. Forsure it had nothing to do with Leafs contract with him. All I know is... Antropov is a big mistake for any team unless he is 1m or less.

Agreed.Where the F is your integrity jetsfan85?Coming into the oppositions GDT and slamming Nik repeatedly!**** ***!!
A leftover rules question. When the Jets player missed his pass and the puck hit Hecht on that line change, how is that too many men? Hecht didn't play the puck. It just hit him.
74.1 If in the course of a substitution either the player(s) entering the play or the player(s) retiring is struck by the puck accidentally, the play will not be stopped and no penalty will be called.
