Alfie's chances on winning the Lady Byng

Whats your opinion on Alfie possibly winning the Lady Byng this year?

He has 15 goals for 36 points with 10 penalty minutes. Perhaps he puts up 60 points with 25 goals could you see him winning the trophy or are St.Louis or Datsyuk (among others in the NHL) way ahead in the race?

Doubt it. Alfredsson will destroy Mark Bell this afternoon on the bloodiest fight this season.

The Lady Byng is a pansy award. I never want a Sen to win it.

Probably a better chance of Alfie winning the Masterton after his recovery from back surgery and all.

Depending on the rest of the season possibly I could see Mueller winning.

QFT

Having 0 penalty minutes in a year or something stupid like that IS NEVER EVER EVER a good thing.

It's the Datsyuk award now.

But I'd love for Alfie to win a trophy before he retires to build on his legacy and the Lady Byng would be the best bet... provided the Toronto media could be mature and unbiased.

I don't think top-tier players such as Alfy strive to win the Lady Byng.

No way is Alfie even considered, his reputation for throwing big hits in the past will stick too much in the minds of voters regardless of what he's done this year.

Lady Byng is a Paul Kariya/Pavel Datsyuk sort of award for silky-smooth, non-contact superstars. Alfie isn't even in the discussion.

If he was closer in the scoring race top ten or five then he might be in the discussion but at this point I don`t think so. Karlsson IMo is the only Sen who may be in any discussion for any award & even he is in tough against a guy like Chara who could win another Norris.
