Tonight we had some good lines, but you need four lines if you want to win games in this league, bottom line. (Re: cycle shifts …) Last game I scored a game in the cycle and tonight Kopi scored a goal. Just commenting on my line, I thought we had a lot of good cycle shifts and some good opportunities throwing the puck in their zone. We got one goal; we could have had a couple more. If you look at our good games over the year, our third and fourth lines are having cycle shifts for an extended period of time and, like I said, it’s hard to comment on whole game."

I think we were in our end a lot. We made our defensemen go back for the puck way too often tonight. By the time the third period and late second period broke, they’re tired and they’re getting hit. Unfortunately, they wore us down tonight in our own arena which is ultimately very upsetting. (Re: not enough offense …) After the game I said, “Quick, hang on buddy. We’re going to get this.” I know he’s frustrated, obviously, with the late penalties and he’s frustrated that we’re not scoring goals and supporting him. I’m sure he’ll never say that, but we have to do that for him as well—play good defense. We need to get going and that obviously includes our line as well. If there is only one line going that night then they have to score two, they have to score three and we certainly had our chances to do that."

It wasn’t so much that point but I thought the first period they physically kicked our ass. (Re: getting guys going …): This was just a one shot at it, right? We’ve been playing really hard. Other then the Edmonton game I thought we could have played better and I thought the first period tonight, we weren’t good enough. Quite honestly I thought that the [Jay] McClement line dominated in the first period tonight which means their bigger guys physically got us."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Sens fan coming in peace. Butler is in place for Petersson and Borowiecki takes Carkner's spot on D.

Good luck tonight guys! We haven't won in your building since 2000, so history is on your side.

It's hard not to like this Sens team. Good mix of players. They look like they're enjoying playing for each other.

Hoping this is a good game.

This game just isn't important for points, but also for confidence.

The up and down play of many of the players points to confidence as a major issue. This team needs to know they can win every game by leaving it all on the ice. You can see the doubt creeping in like "oh no, here we go again with not scoring". They need to quit worrying about earlier in the season and go forward.

Like Joel Goodson said - "Sometimes you gotta say what the **** and make your move".

Anderson is in net tonight. He's played well for us as of late but for our sake, I hope he doesn't wear out soon as he's played every game for us this month.

Hopefully we rebound and score some goals. Not sure if I should start Quick against the hot Sens or Ward against the Jets.

Good luck tonight, guys. Hopefully it's a good game.

Doesn't seem like Carkner will be able to take on Westgarth. I'm not sure if Konopka or Neil will unless he provokes them somehow.

Excited to watch Kopitar and Doughty. Don't get to see them enough.

Kings winning is awesome, Senators losing is very good. So Just Win! Loktionov with his first of the season. Count it.

I really wish the Allstar game didn't exist. But, it gives the team a chance to get a couple days off. I'm happy for Quick though.

But, a win tonight would make me the happiest

It's too long a break to go in with a loss.

There's usually something weird about Kings/Senators games. Not just the Deadmarsh/Potvin stuff, although that's awesome. Usually just a more chippy game than your normal East/West contest. It's not Vancouver/Boston, but for two teams that have no real history, the Kings and Senators have some history.

I blame them for the Ducks winning the Cup with that piss poor effort they had.

Yeah, that's enough to hate them right there.

Tough game against a very good team who has been playing well. It would be nice to see all 4 lines show up. Disappointed by some of Sutter's comments today (LA KINgs insider) on the lines and that he isn't putting someone not named Penner or Stoll with Richards.
Then there was this comment from him:

I look at it as tonight is Game 50, not that there’s a break. Tomorrow will be a harder day for the players than today is.
