You don't enjoy a good hockey fight? Someone's got to lose and Westy's won both his fights this year.
I like hockey fights but I like it when the Kings win more. Westgarth may have "won" his fights this but I've never seen him kick anyone's ass or come close to it. I've seen him get his ass kicked though.
Tough game against a very good team who has been playing well. It would be nice to see all 4 lines show up. Disappointed by some of Sutter's comments today (LA KINgs insider) on the lines and that he isn't putting someone not named Penner or Stoll with Richards.
Then there was this comment from him:
I look at it as tonight is Game 50, not that there’s a break. Tomorrow will be a harder day for the players than today is.
Does that mean he's going to skate the hell out of 'em tomorrow in practice?
Kings better win otherwise it'll be a long eight game break. Our post game thread will sprawl out to 30 pages with bickering about DL's draft picks, missed-picks, to failed trades .
Kopitar, at this very moment, is on pace for the exact same stats (excluding +/-) that he achieved last season playing only 75 games. The onus is on him and Doughty to step up their games and lead this team forward. Regardless of system or winger performances, they need to take over this team offensively or else we flounder. Those shots need to be on net and looking for scoring areas.

"It has not been a good day. I lost my glasses early this morning and I had to go buy a pair of 79 dollar reading glasses today. 79 bucks. You can literally get them at Costco, three-for-20." - Darryl Sutter's response to going up 2-0 in the series.

Yeah, I disagree with the "regardless" part.
Kopitar's "pace" this season is 14.6% of team goals. Last season he had 12% of the all goals (without playing all games). So that is important when talking about any player's numbers.

Superstars are expected to be superstars. Just as coaches and managers are always responsible for team statistics even if their advice and actions are sound or the team did nothing wrong and were given unlucky bounces. These players are expected to increase the level of play of everyone and carry the team on their backs whether they are capable or not.
