#47 - 01.24.2012 | Winnipeg Jets @ New York Rangers | 7:00 PM - MSG 2
THE MATCHUP
GAME #47
Jan 24th, 2012
@
(22-21-6)
_________ (30-12-4)
7:00 PM ET
MADISON SQUARE GARDEN - NYC, NY
MSG 2 | TSN-JETS (HD)
QUOTES TO NOTE
You definitely want to make them pay for it. You want to score and make the penalty count, so Mac’s not taking that hit for nothing.
- Ryan Callahan
We played a hard 60 minutes. I think it was good hockey game. We talked about it after the second period, we have to be strong. And we were. We deserved those two points.
- Marian Gaborik
Well, we played hard. It was a game of momentum. Momentum shifted back and forth. I thought both teams gave up probably more chances than both wanted to.
We found a way to win a hockey game.
- John Tortorella

I got a feeling Biron will get the start for this one. I'm predicting a 4-1 win with goals by Gaborik and Dubinsky.

Would be nice for Richie to bury one so he can go into the break feeling a bit more relaxed

Not to mention that WPG played tonight too and lost to Carolina.
I see the game is on MSG2 also. Guess the ****** Knicks take priority over the first place Rangers playing a home game. Doesn't make a difference to me since I have Cablevision and will get the game in HD anyway but it sucks for everyone else. Whichever team is home that night should get the main network.

Probably will be Biron, let's get the 2 points. 66 points into the break sounds awfully nice.

Oh is that why we get a week off? Because of the all star game?
This game personifies a beatable team, game in which we need to not loosen up right before a layoff.

Give Biron the start. Hank played a lot last week and he deserves to rest for a week and a half.
I'll also be going to this game with my Dad

LGR! I'll be at this game so hopefully Lundqvist starts. Why would we start Biron? We have a week off... No need to start him.

I'd be disappointed if this didn't end in a regulation win, the Jets really aren't much of a threat without Buff and Kane. In previous seasons these are the kinds of games the Rangers wouldn't win, but this season...

I have DirecTV and get MSG2 in HD.

Lundqvist doesn't have a week off. He's gonna be bombarded by media for 4 days in Ottawa this weekend. I would play Biron against a slumping Winnipeg team that played last night and is missing arguably their two best players.
Gotta take 2 points tonight to stay ahead of the pack in the Atlantic. NO EXCUSES!

I'd like to see Biron get that start. Pretty much gives Lundqvist a week off, except for facing a dozen or so shots in the skills competition and playing a period in the ASG. Have Lundqvist play against the Debbies next Tuesday fresh.
I'm predicting a 4 - 2 win. Gaborik, Richards, Hagelin, and Dubinsky.

I am predicting a win, but no goals for Gaborik. I think Hagelin gets a goal and Anisimov gets 2.
3-0 win with a shutout for Biron

Brad Richards on the third line. I guess it was only a matter of time the way he's been playing but I'd rather let Anisimov have a shot with Dubinsky and Callahan than Boyle. Have we seen the pack line together this season?

Wade Richards has been sucking but playing him with stone hands twins is no way to elevate his game .
