Richards registered 62 points his first two seasons in the league and in 03-04 had 26 goals and 79 points in 82 games. He had 26 points in 24 games in the playoffs to win the Conn Smythe.

I think Brad has been playing in the shadow of Lecavalier ever since their days as teammates on the Oceanic. Richards has always been considered to be Lecavalier's teammate. Tampa Bay might have some difficulty retaining Richards and a lot of teams will be lining up with offers to Jay Feaster during the off-season.

Jokinen is having a great season and I was disappointed when the Kings had to add him to acquire Palffy, and I'd be happy to have either Olli or Richards. But if I had a choice, it would have to be Richards. He's the type of player that makes his teammates around him better.
Your points are well taken. I'd learn to like Richards real fast, and would be happy. But I do like Jokinen's hard style. **** i'd be happy if we make any kind of push for either of the two.....As for Richards accolades, I know all about em'. He had an unbelievable post-season, and i'm glad he was recognized over St. Louis.

i've never been a big fan of Richards either...but i think its due to a combination of not seeing him play that often, and his playing style not being particularly flashy, thus not standing out as much as Lecavelier and St. Louis

One of the best posts ever. As has been said of Ziggy and his agent before, Somewhere, a couple of villages are missing their idiots...
Don't get me wrong, Palffy was one of my fav's when he played in LA. He left for supposed greener pastures as was his right. Too bad it didn't work out for him....

I wouldn't trade Osprey for Crosby at this point. Sidney would not bring half the entertainment value to this boards that Osprey can/will bring. If Crosby works on it he might be able to live up to the legend that is Osprey. But don't count on it.

If I could be skating with Crosby and Lemieux instead of yapping with you dolts, I'd do it!

Well if that is going to be your attitude then I take it all back......How about we trade Osprey to the Ducks board for a poster to be named later.

No thanks, the Ducks board would need to throw in a pick even for me to consider taking one of their posters.

Even if it is only Osprey we're giving up

On a side note the Ducks were going to change their name to the Osprey.......and that's no joke! Also have heard about their new jersey for next year. Could still care less though.

I didn't forget, but the great thing is that he's already signed. We should have 7 -10 million freed up, and that should bring us either two real quality players or at least one really great one. We should be a force for years to come as our youth is finally getting molded into the league.

About time you saw that. I was starting to think that you liked it (or that it was less of an insult in your particular case)

Speaking of Ziggy... they showed some NHL highlights during one of the breaks tonight and there was a good shot of Ziggy celebrating a goal. The crowed BOOED like hell.

I was right there with you. Ziggy was my favorite King, but he went the way of the almight $$, convinced that the Pens would lead him to the Holy Grail. Why don't I feel bad for him???
