Kulikov and Skille doubtful for Tuesday's game, Strachan recalled

From the official Florida Panthers twitter:

Quote:
#FlaPanthers Dineen: Kulikov getting evaluated on lower-body injury. Skille out with upper body. Both doubtful for tomorrow.
Skille being out doesn't matter much considering our now glut of healthy forwards. But Kulikov? Yikes.

Especially with Jovocop already out - that means we have to call up someone, and I don't think we have any overly qualified dmen in the minors, do we?

EDIT: Robak?

I got a bit of a scare before it was announced earlier that the two of them weren't at practice and some of the writers were curious if there was a trade. I'm glad for mostly Kulikov's sake that it's just a minor injury since the return for him would have to be incredible. Hopefully the two of them can return when we're done with the break depending on the severity of the injuries. Since we're playing the Flyers, I'd think Yonkman is the likely candidate to fill in for Kulikov.

If Kulikov is out, I'm praying it's Robak getting the chance. He has been great for the SAR this year, and is their only representative in the AHL all-star game. He has a great future, and deserves to get the chance.

Sucks to have Kulikov out, get well soon. Skille.. meh.. just get healthy.. need someone to bang up the opposing teams players..

Not saying Yonkman wouldn't clear waivers but I'd rather not try... Don't want to lose an asset right before the deadline, as little as he is (in terms of value, we all know how big is Nolan ! )

Colby Robak is too often the forgotten-prospect of our organization ! Always been high on the kid and I hope Tallon has some faith in him, enough to give him a shot before thinking about moving Robak in a trade to improve the pro-team.

His learning curve has been awesome and his hockey-IQ is also amazing. We will have to give him a shot before the end of next season. But Colby could be one of our finest defensemen in less than 5 years IMO.

Don't want a pylon playing against the Flyers forwards, I'd rather have the up-and-coming kid !

Give me Colby !

Jebus I hope Kuli's OK and returns soon. I was going to say we got a little lucky as our next two games are against Philly and Wash., and Philly is depleted by injuries right now and Ovy is going to get suspended for a few games. But if Kuli is out, then that cancels that out.

Strachan would have been my pick. He's played in the NHL before, and he could be a #6 or 7 guy on some teams. He's not going to stand out, but he provides safe, steady play. This isn't exactly the best situation to throw Robak into right now.

Of course after Bradley, Kulikov and Skille have the most hits on the team. I read an article today all about how we're getting completely owned in the physical department every game and even with Kane and Byfuglien out for the Jets, they still doubled up on hits against us. Dineen was saying that he's been really stressing physical play more so they don't feel so fatigued towards the end of games if they're going to get outhit by a 2:1 margin.

On January, 23, 2012, he was called up to replace injured defenceman Dmitri Kulikov. He was sent down later that week.

Wiki can predict the future, I wonder if they can give me the lottery numbers too lol.
