Ya know, I thought the game against the Pens was going to be ugly as well, with MoJo missing and all, but the guys showed some heart and played well enough.

We might not win tonight, but our guys will keep it close, IMO.

teams have a way of stepping up when injuries or circumstances push them in a corner. this might be ugly, but i would not be shocked to see the caps score a couple of ppg's and rope a dope this into a 3-1(empty netter) win.

vokoun has a big game. i can see it. the caps still have semin and wideman and brouwer and laich for the power play.

Oddly enough this will be the easiest game I've watched in some time as I have 0 expectations with all the players out. I expect a decent game from our boys but an out of hand score.

How can other teams fill their roster with AHLers and beat us? By out working us, out coaching us, have those whose roles have been promoted stepping up their games, opponents chalking up a cake walk before the puck is dropped. And of course having your goalie doing handstands.

We are living proof it can be done since it's happened to us so much over the years. Hockey is predictable like that, in that it is not predictable.
