What's amazing besides a hand ful of GWG which I'm not discrediting by any means and am grateful for how average to borderline BRUTAL Richards has been .

He hasn't played like he was expected to or should, yeah. But comparing him to Redden is just absolutely ridiculous.

Once again Sarcasm, lighten up and give it time maybe eventually with some personnel changes and a good playoff I'll eat the purely MOCKING words WADE RICHARDS or perhaps when his play is declining further and we have another long term FA who perhaps best years are behind him and was a product of the players he played with rather than being te guy who made everyone else around him better .

Get the 2 and then rest up and heal. They've earned it.

Ill beat a dead horse once more but not to be confused I like BRAD hope he works out and has proven to be a big game player . BUT.... Let's look at MSL , DAN BOYLE, Lecavalier, Loui Erickson , James Neal, Jamie Benn , all these guys continue to play well w/o Brad Richards which makes me believe he is another hugely over rated guy that NYR have signed long term to NMC NT clause contracts . I really hope later this season and beyond he starts becoming at least a decent # 2 C . As of tonight it appears he is playing behind Brian Boyle on the 3 rd line and a PP specialist on the 29 ranked PP in the league . Despite this NYR are in first so no complaints but at some point I imagine if his production doesn't become better an the PP gets better more People league wide will start comparing this to a Redden / Gomez / Drury deal

I think we will see BR come through in the playoffs the way a lot of people expected Drury to. That's where his value will shine through.

By "2" I'm sure you just mean goals. Trust me.... I'm a JETS STH...... without Buff & Kane... 2 goals is all the Rangers will need.

Part of me wonders if his value is already shining through in the way we hoped it would with Drury. Not much has changed other than swapping Richards for Drury, yet the performance is worlds better. Is it "intangibles"? Is it the few "clutch goals" Richards has potted? Is it a realignment of the line combos that's improved the team? Does he just bring the bench and locker room together in way that was previously missing?

A lot of times we talk about how great individual performances just don't translate into team success. Is this a case of great team success despite a "below expectations" of an individual's performance?

I hope your right and I believe with a good pure shooter on his wing he will put up numbers and have more confidence etc . Brad seems like a leader the way Leetch was quiet almost reluctant yet a leader none the less . That doesn't make him immune from sarcastic criticism on a hockey message board . I'm a lifelong (43 ) NYR fan and former season ticket holder for 30 with my Dad and used to sarcasm , losing and big time players coming here and busting it's part of a NYR history and a league history that players at the end of the line come here for one more big pay day . There is a long list .

Bud, I don't mean to call you out or anything, but you've been consistently one of the first folks to go sour. Seems to be some of the older fans are often the more embittered. Brad's been a little under expectations for production, but a huge, huge part of this team's success.

and isn't he a bit overdue for one of his breakout "in-your-face" games anyway? he gets at least three tonight.

Richards gets a goal and a few assists and people start talking about how he's beginning to come around and that he's starting to live up to his contract.

Hagelin is going to go nuts as well and get a few points.

booked

Don't think we'll be blowing anyone out today. Our offense is still struggling and Pavelec is a good goalie

Pavelec is far from a good goalie.

I see a blowout win tonight. Then again, this team struggles against mediocre goalies lol.

Having watched every Jets game this year, half of them in person, I would say that Pavelec is a lot better than you give him credit for. He's been amazing most of the year with a few clunkers in there at times. He is definitely not a mediocre goalie.

Tonight I have to cheer for the Jets to win because we need points badly, although I want the Rangers to stay #1 in the East. I'm really hoping for the game to go to overtime. I hate when my favorite two teams play.

Don't be so glum chum. There's NHL hockey in Winnipeg. Your a STH, Team is 3 points out of a playoff spot. Yes the Rangers are going to crush the Jets tonight but all in all you should be smiling.
